Oh and I forgot to add that you may want to get your girls the Janome Hello Kitty sewing machine. My 5 year old received both the little Singer you have (which DOES NOT WORK for her either) and the Hello Kitty machine for Christmas. It works really well and she is sewing all the time now. We got the little Hello Kitty machine at Target for about $109 and it is well worth it.

Oh Angie, I just realized I never sent you the vintage patterns I told you about. I am so sorry I never emailed you back about them. I am in the midst of smocking Ahnalin's Easter dress and sewing aprons for clients. Thankfully India's Easter dress has been done for a few weeks.
But I am always posting something sewing related on my blog. I just put up a tutorial on sleeve heads for puffed sleeves the other day. I would love for you to stop by my blog if you want to.

Wow Angie, that was beautiful. Today my little blessing was that I met a woman, again, who I only met once before, almost 5 years ago. The first time I met here was at a wedding where she was a bridesmaid and I was singing and Don was playing guitar. The bride had told her that we were waiting for our referral from China, and she had just moved to California from Hong Kong. She asked me then what we planned on naming our daughter and I told her the name. She wrote it out in Chinese characters and told me the meaning in Mandarin. My soon-to-be daughter's name meant "Peace in the Forest". Wow. You see, we were singing at that wedding to add to our adoption account. She told me that the Lord wanted me to know peace during our wait, that He would provide for this adoption. Later that afternoon, we received word that we had been given a grant towards our adoption expenses! What a blessing!
Well, today, at our local China families Chinese New Years party, she came as a guest. She taught the children songs in Mandarin. She got to see the little one she blessed even before we knew who she was. I got all teary when I realized who she was. I thank the Lord that this precious woman took the time to share that peace with me 5 years ago, and now to celebrate our daughter with us today.

Hi Angie. I never knew there was a special day for those of us who have children who went to Jesus so young. I have 6 babies who I never got to hold, who are waiting for me in heaven. Each one of those precious babies is missed and loved. But somehow, I never named them. I lost them all before the first trimester was over. They were each special and unique. Yet I never felt ok (for me) naming them. I LOVE the song "He Knows My Name" and it makes me think not only of my little ones that He holds, but also of the children like my Ahnalin, "who were left to be found." Our two daughters, one through birth and one through adoption, are blessings to us and I look forward to the day that my family and I are all reunited with our other children in heaven.

That is ok Angie!! I have a deeply passionate, yet equally unhealthy love of exclamation points!!!!
But then, someone has to love all the commas and exclamation points that get left out of text messages and tweets, right????!!!! So I figure I just use as many as possible, so none will feel unappreciated!!! (oh, question marks are probably underappreciated too!)

Oh my goodness! I love the picture of small fry kissing her own booboo!
As to our days, well back and forth between doctors visits and rehearsals for my older daughter's fundraiser show for the Diabetic Youth Foundation. Yes, that has been every day lately, but I am glad that they are both relatively healthy right now. We praise God for this.
