Yes, it is good to hear different views but a students rights are taken away once they step foot in a classroom. It happens to both sides and is not fair. Granted, there are more liberal professors then conservative and it is hard to write a paper that you don't believe in. It isn't fair when a student has to write a paper to gear it towards a professor's views.

If you are white, it is not a "privilege" as you say. No race has a "privilege" over another. To think that in today's society that a certain race rules the system is just ignorant. That is obviously not the case especially since we saw evidence of this in the past election.

Yes, their are a few bad apples. As a whole, the US does not tolerate racial discrimination like it did in the 1940s. We have changed as a whole, and to believe it still exists as bad as it does is not right.

I am not saying, that discrimination happens but on the scale that you make it out to be, it does not happen. You have personally been through it, so you have a better sense of it of course but to say that every minority is judged on their race and that when they are seen or applying for a job they are immediately labeled, is just very incorrect.
