do we have to purchase the games again if we do not want to keep our old systems? wonder why the change, considering that the 16gb internal storage was cheaper than the UMD drive, and the unit is going to be around 80% cheaper to make, why the $90 price jump? i think i will pass because i know the price will be lowered once demand is lowered, but what do we do with our old games that we own when we do upgrade?

Thu, 25 Jun 2009 16:58:24 i worked for att it was itunes that was used to activate the iphone 3g, which att has nothing to do with, activating an att phone is as simple as activating the sim card, which takes like 3 minutes tops on the phone. 2 days is rediculous, is this really att's fualt or is apple just passing the blame like they did with the apple 3g iphone that came out, i am just curious.
i do think $30 hardly covers for the annoyance of a new toy without the ability of being used, perhaps if it is att's fualt they should cough up soem discounts on the first bill or the data plan (if they still do that)

Re: Acer ps3, it is great and if you compare it to tv's it is easily worth more than twice the amount it is being sold at. it has a 5ms responce time so there is no image ghosting, the buttons are quite nice and it gives the monitor a sleek look. the monitor also comes with all the cables you need including and HDMI cable and my games look great, i couldnt ask for a better value and i got more than what i paid for. an excellent monitor and if you have a device that uses vga, hdmi or dvi input this is definatly one to check out due to its great quality. i personally recommend this item and it will not dissapoint.
by the way, that picture (incase you didnt read it or thought it may be updated, is not the monitor. you can search h233h on <a href="http://bestbuy.com" rel="nofollow Days.

i know when the 3g iphone luanched, att didnt do activations, it was all itunes and apples mess up that last years craze went the way it did and everyone was ticked off. apple for the longest time didnt even provide att with any information regarding the iphone, meaning if a customer needed help navigating the iphone, we couldnt help them, unless you owned one. apple wanted to be the ones to troubleshoot the phone itself and leave the network issues to att. that didnt work so well, i remember customers would call and ask something like, how do i turn off the 3g part (since it didnt work right in some areas) and we didnt know since apple made the phone, we would have to tell them to call apple, then apple would tell them to call us, it was a nightmare. hopefully everything with the iphone is straightened out but i can help but laugh when i hear of all the problems with the phone, and people still lining up to buy one, when as consumers we should really know better than to buy a new item on the day of its release. no matter how bad i want something, i wait for reviews, even if i have enough money to buy 10 of them sitting in my bank collecting dust. teh activation problems would be from itunes, to activate an att phone they simply activate the sim card inside the phone which takes a matter of 3 minutes and it is done (over the phone) in the store it is faster than that since you dont have to explain what you want. but apple makes you activate/register the phone to keep theft down which is the problem.

Sun, 21 Jun 2009 21:43:40 the carrier that provides service to iphone, i was working tech service when the 3g iphone came out and it was a nightmare, i can only imagine some of the problems going on with this one and i dont doubt there are more than just this one problem. looking forward to hearing about them since i no longer have to hear about it all day :D.

<dc:creator Review

i havent enjoyed a fighting game since smack down vs raw 2008, and it was even longer before that game since i never was into street fighter and mortal kombat went downhill a while ago, fighting games are something i dont even look at anymore, though i may have to check this game out now, to bad i didnt nab it when it was on pre-order special where you got $10 on a gift card but oh well. i am interesting in creating my own character and wreaking havok on everyone else, hopefully it is as advanced as what you say it is, smackdown vs raw has always been easy, even on the hardest difficulty, though reversals did get rather anoying, can we see 2 fighters reversing eachother moves one right after another for a few minutes before it ends, very tiring on the fingers and hands. thanks for the reveiw, i will check it out, maybe even write a comment about it, but it may be a few weeks, i have otehr things i need to purchase first.

Sun, 21 Jun 2009 20:02:17 piece of junk. i personally have owned 4 over the life time, i bought one about 1 year after they came out and it lasted 3 months before it crapped out. then i bought one about 3 months ago and exchanged it twice (for brand new 360's supposedly with the new chipset) and they all crapped out. one got RROD after 2 days, and the other 2 locked up on every single game i owned, and i bought about 7 games for it new when i got the system. all in all i lost about $300 after it was all said and done becuase trade in prices are not great. i did retrun the 360 and got full price and then decided to get my PS3 which i have had no problems with at all except for the occasional lock up if i am browsing the web but i think that is just becuase of some of the websites i go to or the connection just freezes if i have to many windows open at a time looking for music, ps3 themes or watching hulu.com or something. some sites lock up our computer so i doubt it is the playstation and it never happens on games or on netflix so i am not to worried about it.

i dont know about the price cut though, i needed everything the PS3 came with though except the blu ray player, exept for the games of course...i still dont own any blue ray movies because of the price, but i watch netflix, hulu and about 8 other tv and movie stations on my ps3 so i dont have a need for blue ray movies, and anymore very few movies are worth purchasing.

i guess not everyone needs the features that are offered with the ps3 but i found it nice to be able to get all of it included at a lower price than xbox 360, and at least the ps3 works. personally with all i have been through with xbox 360 and the money i lost, i wish i could get a free system that works, but i personally enjoy my ps3 more than i did my xbox when it did work so i doubt i would even purchase a game for it if i did somehow get a free system.

i know i actually saved money purchasing the ps3 over xbox, but the way these sites make it sound is that the ps3 is just expesive, atleast they should mention the fact that it is the most expensive system unless you are needing a system that has wireless networking, rechargable controller and ect, then it is actually cheaper. it is mis-leading to most consumers to just say it is too expensive, personally the price is not even part of what kept me away, but i did not like the idea of the motion features in the controller which is why i never bought one before, but since you dont have to use it it is great. im a traditional gamer and i admit i am to lazy to play games that require much movement. i work all day, the last thing i want is for my games to be a chore when i am tired and want to relax.
all in all i know i am and i know others who find the higher price worth it considering the 360'd rrod machine high failure rate, though i did find out that most the of 360's that my friends own that havent crapped out are the more expensive elite editions, though some of those have failed as well, but most have not, even friends who got the halo 3 editions have systems with no problems and still play them, but xbox in my opinion isnt worth the money you have to pay for their shortcomings and cheap manufacturing shortcuts which led to the RROD failure to begin with.
anyways, in short, i am happy with my ps3, and i do not regret the price i paid for it at all. in my opinion its reliableness and extra features are worth the price difference, though i know some either cant afford it or think it is worth it. i can see your point, though personally i dont agree, but i am in a different situation and dont really have anything else to spend my money on but junk and entertainment since i dont have many bills and make a good amount of money considering the area i live in so my finances are not on par with the rest of the world and the recession that is supposedly going on, has not affected me at all or my spending habits. either way, i still view the PS3 as being worth the price due to the reliability, features you get, and great games and support (i love ps3 updates, they always add something good and they are pretty frequent compared to the other systems)
i dont think they should lower the price of the ps3, but maybe make a cut down system without all the features at a lower price, then have the ability to add on to it later, omit the chargable controller and allow it to use batteries, remove the wireless card and sell it seperatly, then lower the price by $150 but make the wireless adapter $99 like xbox 360, and the chargeable controller pack for 20-30. i would say cut the browser out but since it is the OS it would be more expensive to make another version of the OS for the system. that would work alot better and be more effective in the long run than just lowering the overall price of the unit that is on sale now, and i DO BELEIVE sony should add backwards compatability again, that alone would boost some sales, i know a few people who will not buy a PS3 untill that happens again since they have alot of ps2 games or tehy do lower the price. if they did lower the price i wouldnt lower it any more than $50 with no changed made to the system, the system is the same price as the 360 elite..so until satansoft lowers their prices i do not see a price cut coming from a business point of view, especially considering sony is still losing about $50+ for every system they sale due to manufacturing costs, but that doesnt include the 100+ they lost per system when it first came out which they need to consider makeing up for as well, and i do not see changing it and charging for internet access a reasonable option, i have to pay for internet already i dont want to pay for it again, regardless of "cheap" it is. i wish consoles didnt cost so much to make but it isnt the reality, and sony isnt going to cut cost becuase activision complains...especially considering even if activision is a big company, they produce very few great games, call of duty being one of them which is personally my favorite at this time. i have read other coments on this and very few readers care about activision at all and even agree they dont really make anything that good anyways so we would only be loosing a few games that were worth playing, and it seems that most readers who own a ps3 dont really care if they quit supporting ps3. from a business standpoint i am sure sony is taking it into consideration as to what games they offer, how many systems would one of those games have helped sale, and how many people really care. all in all there are an estiamted 20-30 million ps3 owners, and activision even said they didnt know if they can ignore that many people (meaning not support their system) i highly doubt i will have to worry about no great games for ps3 (it isnt a gamecube after all which EA quit supporting) and i would rather have a ps3 with out call of duty than an RROD 360 again no matter what...maybe it is a scheme by satansoft...who knows, microsoft does controll the world after all, lol. anyways, afterall my ramblings, i highly doubt this will affect anything after it is all said and done, call of duty is the only game they make that i like so i could care less, there are plenty of other great games and call of duty modern warefare 2 is already coming out for ps3 so if there isnt another heaven forbid, its not like the games are not similar anyways, granted i love them, it wouldnt be much of a loss to me. i personally like the freedom i have with my ps3 and that will never change, i dont have to buy a sony hard drive, i can use the internet, i can watch anything i want on my ps3 (playon anyone, google it, netflix works and its great), and i know my system will work tonight when i get home...all in all, i praise sony, and it is a big company who i doubt will be bullied into a price cut from anyone. only the future will tell and it probably wont matter then anyways becuase sony will not abandon the ps3 untill they recover their losses and i doubt activision will go through with anything since this tactic has already been used..their isnt any justification to lower the price, it isnt like you dont get what you pay for and even a crapbox is listed at 399 as well.

<dc:creator $100.

i dont think sony has any fear of bankruptcy anytime soon. they do make other things besides playstation 3, like tvs, cd players, blue ray and dvd players and they are the reason blue ray is around.
i am tired of people griping about playstation prices, hence my responce to activision demands price drops. with all you get from a ps3 it is well worth 400, considering i spent more on my 360 for a wireless adapter, xbox live membership, play and charge kit and the system than i had to spend on my PS3, if you want a ps3 save up for it if you cant afford it in one go and quit gripping about the price considering the prices are spot on for all you get, go buy and xbox and a blueray player and let me know how much you spend. tell satansoft to lower their prices and make a system that doesnt crap out.

<dc:creator Game?

good, i always wanted to see a grand theft auto game with a city full of zombies, very cool idea and non linear gameplay would make for some very fun and engaging games. i think that is something that would make for a great game and open up the horror genre alot, cross it with left 4 deads multiplayer experiance and you may have the next game of the year, we all want an open ended survival horror game with a mix of resident evil 5's excellent gameplay, dead rising's unique weapons and other people who are trying to survive, left 4 deads multiplayer aspect, fallout 3's attention to detail and grand theft auto's open ended city environments, hidden items, and vehicles to drive. i would make it if i could just so i could play it.

Fri, 19 Jun 2009 22:48:23 sony needs to lower the price of the playstation 3? i get tired of hearing that and there are a few reasons behind it. one the playstation 3 has a blue ray player, which to buy a descent blue ray player alone you are looking at at least $200. for second, the playstation 3 alot of times is cheaper to buy than the xbox 360 considering you have to pay $99 for a wireless adapter on 360 that is already on the PS3, you have to pay $20 for a charge kit for xbox 360 contorllers unless you want to keep buying batteries, sony offers free internet access and online gameplay, which you dont get internet browsing on 360 and you have to pay to play online which is $50 per year. all in all for a 360 if you buy the pro console at $299, add a wireless network adapter for $99, a plug and charge kit, plus $50 for an xbox live gold subscription for a year you are up to $468 bucks not including games or a blue ray player which sorry ta say, has won the format war...the 80 gig playstation 3 is only $399 which is ready to go out of the box with wireless interent, online play capabilites, rechargeable controller and blue ray, and you have the ability to purchase any 2.5 inch sata hard drive to upgrade the hard drive instead of having to buy one from sony.A 250 gig 2.5" sata hard drive can be purchase for around $80. Sony has also made better tool kits for deveopers to make software titles faster and easier for them to make on the system, so it is trying to accomodate everyone and it is doing a great job.
Sorry but i disagree, if anything Microsoft needs to lower their prices a bit for consumers becuase over all it is a more expensive system with less powerfull hardware and it is cheaper to make than the PS3, and to top the prices off the PSP is the same price as nintendo's DSI at $169.99 (EXCLUDING THE NEW PSP COMING OUT)
over all i beleive the PS3 and PSP are at the right price, and overall the PS3 is cheaper than the xbox so anyone who says that it is to expensive for the average consumer is an idiot and is looking for reasons to complain, and by the way, before someone spouts off you can buy an xbox 360 for $199 keep in mind that with no hard drive, once you take it online the system update uses all the available memory which means no add-ons, few games saves if any and heaven forbid if you need to install a game.
the bottom line is sony takes a loss of about $50 for every PS3 sold and sony has prices just right considering. people need to get a life and quit telling sony to lower prices and look more at some other jacked up companies who are more expensive to buy into once it is all said and done in the check out line.

all prices are verified as of 6-19-09 and all listed totals and prices are not including tax. prices were listed as retail prices on bestbuy.com
