I used to hate going to the dentist so much that (a) I wouldn't let the doctor in my mouth and (b) she had to prescribe Xanax and (c) I'd have to get gas just for a cleaning. It took a long time but now I'm back to "normal."

Good point, Jude about Trader Joe's -- Andronico's is getting squeezed from all directions. On the high end from Whole Foods, on the low end from Safeway, and from the flank by Trader Joe's. I'd hate to see them disappear from Solano Ave, but we're customers of convenience. They need to figure out how to differentiate themselves.

benefits of "sippey:" on twitter i get replies, entertaining messages from people drinking out of cups meant for toddlers, and tweets from people in indonesia, where "sippey" is slang for "like." or something. off twitter i just get jokes about my mom.

I was at Chirp last year, and Ev and I were hanging out a bit at the Fort Mason festivities after the day full of presentations. We sat down to watch Twitter's Robin Sloan give his great "Stock and Flow" talk in lightning format, and Robin just killed it. Ev turned to me and said "That guy works for Twitter, can you believe it? How lucky am I."
