As an Australian who lives 100 m from the Pacific all this information is very important. I didn't know, having just gone to bed when the warning was issued. But I'm not sure if there was a real event in the middle of the night whether a majority of people would find out - there may be public address systems in Sydney but not in regional centres.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Twitter has an important role to play in this and News Services must use it as a medium - well done!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We have a tsunami plan  - but need to know it is coming!&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">simonborgert</dc:creator><pubDate>Sun, 19 Jul 2009 16:59:59 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
