Favorite summer hot spot is an air conditioned movie theater during peak sun hours of 10-2 and a clean, sparkling pool with plenty of sunscreen after that. In NYC I love the summer street fairs.

No - I mean the post its on the home page - the first thing you see (the color boxes) and what's predominant in your screen shot with this post. For internal pages it's better - the categories are smaller and at the top/taking up less real estate, but they're less colorful than on the home page. I'd like to know how you add the font to your post headers. I really like that. Maybe you've already done a how to post on that and I missed it. Congrats on the new look!

I like the look of the post its, but they almost look just like navigation and take up a lot of real estate even on my big screen work computer. Agree w/ Ryan's comment about the search bar.

Alton Brown recommends a certain type of glove that lets you keep dexterity (as opposed to a handle/holder for the food being grated), and I think it's something you can get at the hardware store (as most of his recommendations are). Definitely get a box grater for potato grating in any case. OUCH!

Thank you so much! My nephew visited when he was 3 and I was afraid to take him in taxis because we didn't have a car seat. If only I'd had your blog then (or the smarts to look at the NYC.gov site). I definitely agree with your "use a car seat" policy though!

Log onto LEO, the library site, and just extend the check out time. As long as it's not on request (and maybe even if it is) you can extend the time you can keep the books/avoid late charges.

Somewhat related: I had "18 Kids and Counting" on closed caption and they said "Curt Cameron" instead of "Kirk." Sorry - have been waiting for a place that made sense to use that, and this seems like the closest I'll get.
