The establishing shots of Chicago are pretty bad. The one tonight showing Spin made me chuckle, but at least Whitney's doing a better job than The League in that regard. Last week, The League started with a scene in a restaurant that was obviously in NYC, complete with visible NY address above the door.

I was ready and willing to give the "pretty" view a chance, but the fact that I can't right-click on a story in the sidebar to open it in a new tab ended that pretty quickly. I don't know how other people interact with the site, but I like to open each story that I want to read in full in a new tab. The new layout doesn't give me that option, which makes me sad.

With Helmet! I stage managed that show. I met a lot of rock stars doing that job and Jim Martin was one of the few that just seemed larger than life. Too bad he's not playing with them on this.
