It seems Youtube has been blocked by BSNL also. I cannot view any videos (Football or otherwise) on Youtube on BSNL broadband but the same plays easily on Airtel or Idea 3G network.

The developer of Unlock with Wifi has stopped development of the app and replaced it with Skiplock. It is the same app but with additional facility to also use trusted bluetooth device.

This is not a contract scheme. You have to swipe your credit card for the full amount including the monthly charges . You then have to pay the bank / credit card company in 24 equal monthly instalments. This means that your credit card limit for the amount swiped is blocked. The bank also calculates the interest in their EMI. So although a great offer it is not a contract scheme . You can rent these movies on Youtube also . Some movies like Premium Rush which are available in HD on Play Store are available only in SD on Youtube .

Clicking on Unsubscribe link and getting a You have been unsubscribed successfully page also does not mean anything when it comes to Indian e-commerce companies. I had to fight on twitter with fashionandyou to get myself unsubscribed. Samsung India keeps sending emails after clicking atleast 20 times on Unsubscribe link . Reporting as spam helps but not that much. I find this a problem mainly with Indian e-commerce companies. I will keep getting promotional emails from companies of which I have never heard leave alone registered on their site. Good job Nikhil

You saidin podcast that Chrome is just a cost centre with no revenue . I think it saves them money that they have to pay out . They have agreement with Firefox under which they renewed for upwards of $1 Billion with a bowser that has lower market share . So in effect they are saving a boatload of money by having a browser for which they do not have to pay referral fees to anyone .

My experience with this is that Airtel is the biggest culprit. I was charged 150 for downloading wallpapers on a dumb phone without internet connection . Many of my friends have been subscribed to services without having done anything on their part . And with Airtel I am sure that they charged me for the downloads at 1AM in the night when I was in my cousins marriage . The phone did not have internet and so I checked to see if I had made some call by mistake or send a sms . But that was not the case . 150 down the drain without doing anything . Since then I have been charged a couple of times but thanks to Twitter have been able to get the charges reversed for me and also my friends
