What infuriates me is how this whole thing apparently started. I absolutely believe in paying bloggers for their time, but only IF the guest blogger feels that's the type of compensation they want. It's not as if these guest bloggers believed they'd be paid and then you stiffed 'em. How you compensate your guest bloggers is PRIVATE. It's between you and that writer and there is NO ONE ELSE who deserves to be part of that conversation.

I was a regular blogger for a long time on a very, VERY popular website when it started out. Once that company started making a heavy profit and their writers, who provided free content to help them start out, weren't offered compensation, I left. That was my choice, that was their choice, and there are no ill feelings. I did get my name out there and that was worth the dozens of free articles I wrote because that was my priority at the time. No worries.

You do you, Kara. You owned the mistake you made but the other ridiculous accusations are pathetic and attention-seeking. Keep on keeping on.

I'll add that it's the ink/pen/paper combo that decides if it can bleed. I know some people love certain inks, but in my particular pens with their particular nib sizes, it bleeds through the same paper that holds up perfectly for them. It can make it a little difficult to find the right combination, but like Rebe said, the Goulet ink samples are a life saver and prevent me from making a $15 investment into an ink that won't work!

I feel like I am the only person on the planet who really, really doesn't like my Metropolitan. It was my first fountain pen and I almost gave up the hobby simply because I had such a disappointing experience with it. I stuck it out, got an Al-Star, and am now OBSESSED. Is there anyone else on the planet who doesn't like the Metro, or just me?!

Here's one: "nauseous" is a word that means the object is causing nausea. So if you say, "I feel nauseous," you're saying that you're causing nausea in someone or something. The correct term is nauseated. "The gas is nauseous, and it's making me feel nauseated."

Exactly. But seniors like myself who only have one semester are paying $300 for a $500 product. Not too shabby.

As a current student at Seton Hill, let me point out that it is NOT free. Current students, like myself, will now be paying $300 in our technology fee instead of $100. New students will pay $500. Relatively cheap, considering what we're getting, but definitely not free.

Most students are very excited, but there are the few who are generally angry that this is being forced on us. I'm on the fence about it. I'm graduating in December, though, so I really couldn't care less. I'll take the iPad and run.

We pay about $31,000 and our tech fee will be going up $200 for current students, and $400 for new students.

Philly is neat, that's for sure.

Carnegie Science Center is good, but not as good as Franklin Institute in Philly, with the walk-through heart, skyline, more. I love that place so much!

HAHAH. Pierogies aren't that big of a deal in Philly...cheesesteaks own our life. :)

I go to Seton Hill University, about 40 minutes from the city.

Seriously, it was just so awesome. Best way to celebrate after an awesome win.

I wish I could! But I move back to Philly every summer. I was supposed to get an apartment, but it fell through. Arggghh... I'd love to hang around for the summer. Meet new people, see new places... I know I'd end up at the Carnegie Science Center every day, though, cause I'm just that nerdy.

The view is so spectacular at PNC, there's hardly a bad seat. I've been all over that park, and even when I was right behind the foul pole, I was still happy. :) Great place for a game. As for the Perogi Race... I thought my sister was going to pass out. She laughed SO HARD.
