Unfortunately, in the UK that European limited edition physical bundle seemed to be only available on the official Nintendo store website and sold out instantly. I was hoping it might be available from a few other retailers but haven't spotted any yet :-(

Does anyone know what size the download version will be? I don't want to have to shell out for additional storage...

As a fellow non-drunk I know where you're coming from, but don't worry. In Scenario at least they're so accomodating they can easily make you a nonalcoholic cocktail. And there's always a soft drink of some description.

I've found Heart of Gaming and Four Quarters very welcoming too. Not sure Meltdown will ever be my bag however.

Dual Destinies is worth playing if you're a fan of the series, but to call it the best is a bit of a stretch. The original is still my favourite, followed by its two sequels.

Exactly! You're not supposed to spend hours grinding it (though you can, if you want). It's snack gaming. As I got the download version I know it will always be on my 3DS to dip into on a tube journey, or to play while not paying proper attention to the TV.

I hope they make this optional. It's great news for anyone living outside of a big city, but here in London I usually pick up 3-8 StreetPasses on my daily commute. Sometimes it's even the same people, which makes it more fun, plus lots of international visitors. So I feel like we're already getting the 'true' StreetPass experience. It wouldn't feel quite so special if I'm not actually passing someone.

I had to watch the whole thing. This game looks incredible! I didn't dare hope for so many new features considering how few were added per previous update.

Very good point. This is something that struck me when I started to write a post about some of the stranger collectables I found when I visited Japan. I was in two minds about it because I'm well aware that for a lot of people, all you see on TV or on the web about Japanese culture is the wacky/weird/extreme stuff, and I worry that it just looks to them like a themepark or something. Two-dimensional.

On the other hand, every country has its stereotypes. Being English, I expect that most Japanese would expect me to wear a bowler hat to work. But of course in reality I only do that on Mondays...

I have the opposite problem with my Kinect: it's constantly saying it doesn't recognise me. Even in the middle of a game. So unless it's bluffing, I'm not too worried about it doing anything deeper.

I totally agree. This is something that worries me a little about the 3DS. I never bothered with a PSP because I thought it tried too hard to be 'cool' and offer a full console experience.

Whereas the Phoenix Wright series, Animal Crossing, Mario & Luigi, Ghost Trick, New Super Mario Bros, Advance Wars, etc. are all perfect for playing on the move.

Luckily, the new Mario game, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Animal Crossing should all be great in this respect.

I'm feeling really conflicted by this. I don't want to pay for a bunch of levels I already have... and I intend to get the new 'proper' RE game.

However, I would like something decent to play on my 3DS other than Pilotwings...
