At my walmart in midway in st. paul I can say that their are a lot of people calling in sick and one manager even called to see how she was doing! We have new managers in our store and some are nice and some are not but in the long run i'm sure they are people too and do get sick too and if they let sick people come to work they will get sick too. and NO I'm Not on durgs!!!!!!!
the last managers that were at our store I could call them on their cell phones and I still talk to them a lot! even our co-manager he would joke with me when I helped the managers our he would ask me if I him my head and one manager called me cheryl from apperal! and I enjoyed working with them they would call my on my off day from my other job and ask me to come in and work and I did because I liked working with them and I'm not the only one who likes working at walmart you must have been let go so your mad well get over it and find another job!

Jadeed09 I work at midway walmart and I had most of the managers cell numbers and I would call the 1-800 number and if I could not talk to them I would call their cell phones. you never had any of their cell numbers to call them and explain what was going on with your kids? how long were you working at walmart how manny years?

I work at midway walmart in st. paul and never been asked to work off the clock and in fact when I dont take a my 15 minn they have a talking to me, and if I work more than 6 hours with out a lunch they have a talk with me again aout how walmart can have a lawsuits if I dont take a lunch.

At my walmart I can say their has been a lot of workers calling in sick and one person was sick for a hole week and they did not give him a d day for missing a week he had the flu. if you are sick and never call in you should be ok if you miss a day's for being sick. walmart is trying to be more fair about calling in sick with the swine flu and H1N1 flu.

me and my 6 sister and 1 brother did all the arrangement together and we made it work for all of us.

when my mom passed away about 4 years ago the funeral home helped us pick the right price on how much money we had and we told them that we did not have very much money to work with and we spent about 6,000 on my mom's funeral me and my sisters and brother pitched in on it. I don't knkow what your brother in-law told the funeral home people but he should have made it cleare that he did not have any money.

I would get them to buy it from me. not walmart it's my funeral home not walmart's and if a love one dies you go the the funeral home and they take the time to help you make arangments.

fredderf would you buy a casket from walmart? and Yes It only on line but someone has to pick it up and guess what they may be in line in the back of the store untill the person checks them out!, and who will put it in the car or turck and will it fit?

is walmart crazy? this is not a good, I work at walmart and I think this is not going to make money at all!! I would never buy a casket from walmart never never!!!!!! next will they sell grave stones too? and plots too what a joke!

al do you work for wlmart? I do! and at time I love it and at times I hate it, but they do need to give their workers more money to live and better health care for their kids, if you give them more pay they will only spend it in their store to buy food for theri kids.
I have two job walmart is my 2nd job.

Hi Al I also work part time for walmart in mindway in st. paul MN and I only work part time. I like working for walmart they pay checks are not the best, but my other job witch I have worked for about 20 years pays my bills, but I see other workers who have a family who need to work to pay their bill work hard and they get little money on their checks and they sent in a new team of ass managers and they are cutting hours and they are telling me that the computer is making the schedules for people and I knkow for a fact that they can change any schedule they want, and one ass manager told me that he worked at a store that made more money than our store and had less staff and I aked him if it was a supper center and he said yes so I told him to take half of what they make and did we make more than they did and he said it was about the same. I also told him that we are in the midway in st. paul right by the bus stop and for people that don't drive this is where they shop yes we have target right by us but at target you have to be quite and the watch your every move in the store. they are also telling all the associates to take health care from walmart they are showing them a vido and all the associates must see the vido. walmart should give their employees more money and better health care their saying is walmart is your family so they should take care of their employees.

you do know if they will colse some walmart's and sam's club if they go union! I would at a walmart and most of the workers signed the union card, and they sent a new team in and moved the old team all the ass managers and store manager too and the new one never say Hi and when you say hi they look at you and walk away, we are so short handed on staff and they are letting the computer do the schedules so if you car part time you are only getting about 10 to 15 hours a week and if you are full time you are getting about 27 to 32 hours a week only zms and nights are getting full time hours! this new team sucks!!!! a lot of the workers are looking for new jobs so they can quite walmart I tell them just to stick it out and it will get better when the can vote for a union, hope it will be soon or they will be NO union at Midway!!!!!!!!!!

it just is not in one state it's all the states health care cost is going up.
people lost their jobs and need help and walfare and medicaid are their.
if they work at walmart at least they can pay rent!
and if walmart workers go union will they get better medical and better pay or will most of the walmart close their doors and leave you tell me.

ken-v I work at walmart and the Muslim go to the bathroom and clean their feet in the sink, and yes the also go the the fitting room and go in and pary it only takes about 2-min to pary. They must be more to the story them religous. I like working with them they are hard workers, but walmart should give them like a place to wash up not the bathroom sink.

well Anthony I'm sorry to hear that your walmart was not a good store at our walmart all of the managers get along good, I saw first hand my ass manager cry because they told her she had to get the back area cleane and most of the stoff was not our department.and one ass manager quite because i think the manager was pushing them to get the workers to work faster. but the home office sent him to classes. and I think the managers do favor me because I'm late alot comming from one job to the other but when I get thier I work hard.and when I first worked for wlamart I never took a break and they were all over me telling me to make sue I took that break. I love our co-manager Daren you can tell when he is mad and I tell him he should take a pill or somethink so he is nice you get more work form someone when your nice to them beacuse they fill bad because your so nice. Ya we have some workers that dont work but you have that in all jobs. I sent a e-mail to the home office and they read it becuase Daren my co-manager asked me why I sent them a e-mail I told he they need to know that your a good guy, Daren was a store manager and they sent him to our store and if he did not make it he would loose his job but he has been their for about 2-years and I can talk to him about anythink at all we talked about unions and he get really mad and it fun to see his face get red. I have seen allot of manager come and go.
well have to get back to work.

how you had a good night, and I would like to ask you this what walmart do you work at? I work at midway walmart in st. paul MN. and my name is Cheryl. I have worked for walmart for about 4 years at part time but work about 33 hours a week and yes I have a full time job with the city too. I have talked to my ass manager about unions and also my co-manager and we all have different views on Unions. If I only worked at walmart I would push for a union but I also would try to get all the walmarts to become a union because if all the walmarts were unions they would have walmart by the Balls. but then again would walmart close there doors and how manny workers would loose their job? I can't tell the workers what to do they need to make up their own mind what to do. when we get a new store manager they always ask me to why I'm not a dep-manager and i tell them they don't pay enough! and they say I could go high in the company for walmart I tell tem if they could pay me what my other job does I would be full time hear and part time their, well they have a job opening in Octeber and it all most about the same as my job when it comes to money, and I could move up in the company I'm good and people like me and my co- workers like me too. I'm really thinking about try it. back to the union if walmart only gets one store to be in a union they will just close it down and move, but if I was the union person I would look to see where they are making the most money and try to get that store to become union if they store is making money they will not close! or ones the just built because the will not close them becasue they put alot of money in them. well ahve to get back to work. Miltaryman 1 you wanted to know who jack was he was sent down from the home office to talk to people about unions. he has been at our walmart 2 or 3 times all day long and if you have question about unons he will try to answer them! just to let you know that the police do work for walmart but if you call them to your house for a person looking in your house and they get the person they have to fill out a report and you can get it for $5.00 I'm friends with a lot of st. paul police and I don't think they would look the other way when it comes to walmart!!!!

I was talking to other workers about the union going to their house and looking in and walking around their house and I told them to call the police and say that someone is trying to brake in and u think they have a gun the police will come right away and they will find out who they are! IF THEY ARE UNION OR WALLMART.
I also told jack from the home office that's what I would do, and the workers would know if its walmart or the union.
