It depends on the case, but since I used my first name (real name,) they allowed the change. Supposedly, others who used their real name were also able to change their username quickly just by calling Blizzard support directly.

Hello!

Please try our forums for information. All my parts and instruments were purchased in Okinawa, but a lot of the forum members have experience in buying online.

Also, you might find it easier to craft your own karakui. They're relatively simple parts that don't play a role in the sound of your sanshin, and making them yourself could save you a lot of money.

For a lot of songs people will put their own "twist" on the song--rearranging notes, introducing hayabiki and sometimes playing multiple notes at one time.

Although I'm not sure what the kunkunshi looks like for waido bushi, other songs will denote strumming multiple notes at one time by putting said notes into one box with a line on the side.

That's 九 (kyuu), and it's a further down the neck after 八 (hachi).

I'll eventually get around to creating a better diagram of where the notes are on the sanshin, but for most beginners, this should suffice. Good luck!

It's funny that you mention 上を向いて(ue o muite). It's one of the first songs I played by ear XD

Unfortunately, I don't have the kunkunshi for it. I'll try to transcribe a copy later tonight if possible.

Hi Dev,

The difference in sound is very, very slight. Almost unnoticeable. The only reason I would buy more uma is for backup purposes. As for myself, I happen to use the plastic bridges more than the bamboo ones because the bamboo always seem to break on me XD

hahah. woops

i'm thinking about getting a macbook pro. my current laptop can't run warcraft3/frozenthrone without slowing down, and my adobe lightroom can lag up a bit. it's mostly because the machine heats up so quickly. if i don't have fans under the thing, it'll shut down on me at times.

I agree. Nothing makes a scene better than a bottle of awamori and a sanshin. However, I'm pretty bad at finding the sanshin online, but amping up the site once I get settled in my new home (I'm leaving Okinawa), I will dedicate a section to online sanshin shops.

The Simple Sanshin Source will live on, but it won't be up and kicking until I get settled down in the States. I've still got a lot of kunkunshi to upload and videos to make, but I'm just way too busy right now xD... Good thing I can read comments and respond via my cell phone.

Photography is a passion, but at this point I'm just hoping I get accepted into a good school.

Because of the games I play--RPGs, strategy and single-player action--I decided to give up on the Wii. Granted, Fire Emblem and Pikmin were great, but I don't really consider them Wii titles.

I'll pretty much play anything that requires skill, and am not so much a fan of games w/o learning curves. Epically long RPGs are my favorite, but I can spend hours on end playing Smash Brothers.
