What bullshit. I've been open water swimming at Brighton Beach every Friday between April and October at 530am for years. No lifeguards ever, and I've never been so much as looked at twice by anyone.

You should mention that the T/C for The Vessel include the fun terms that anything you shoot and post on social media THE VESSEL OWNS FOREVER AND CAN USE FOR ANYTHING THEY WANT, and they can use your photo/face/anything for anything they want, until the end of time. I don't understand the question - I don't do this for the seat upgrade. I'm usually upgraded automatically because of how much I fly. I sit wherever I'm assigned.

The strips really changed everything for me. And you can tell them how much light - i.e., "Alexia, living room lights on, at 40%." And it does it. So cool. :)

I wish I could say that it's easy, just ignore what other people think about you - But I know it's tough to do it. Hell, I'm 43, I preach it all the time, and it's even tough for ME. Best bet? Just tell her to keep doing what she's doing - she's the one ahead of the game - not them. They'll come around in time.

Yup. They gave me a premium hand luggage tag on the first flight, and on the return, refused to do the same, retorting mr through Sydney instead, and delaying me four hours. There's my issue: why one and not the other?

OMG YES on the spending on things that really matter. My last two best-selling books were written entirely on airplanes - In business class. Worth shelling out the money for it? Heck yes. The money I would have saved in economy wouldn't have come close to the value I've received by writing the books. Spend it wisely to make it. Great post, Troy.
