I didn't think I'd spend time playing game in front of the TV. I love the remakes of Arkanoid, Asteroids and my favorite is this one button tapper called Moto Wheelie.

Re: Best Apple TV Games 2015 – Best games to play on your Apple TV - Lumino City

Good list. Here are some that I play a lot..
- Shuffleboard bowling poker which is an interesting mix of those 3 games.
- Breakfinity: interesting remix of the classic Arkanoid
- Moto Wheelie: Single touch Remix of Hill climbing and tiny wings in TRON world.
- Sketch Party: Pictionary where you use iPhones/iPads to draw

Re: 11 Apple TV tips, tricks and secret features you need to know about

I'm really missing Apple's remote app connectivity in the new Apple TV. I used to use that a lot, especially the keyboard functionality made it so much easier to enter text. That said, I really love how I have switched over from my universal remote to the Apple TV as the ONE remote. Apple TV now turns my TV on and off automatically, and I was able to repurpose the volume buttons to control the volume of my receiver. If I had one minor complaint about the remote, it's that a lot of times it's easy to confuse which side is up.

Coming back to the remote app on iPhone, as a developer I feel Apple could have allowed the remote app on iPhones to connect as "additional" controllers, thus opening up the possibility for multiplayer gaming, without the necessity of having to write an iPhone app to handle that.

That said, I've been enjoying some of the casual games very much. I didn't think I'd be spending so much time on the TV playing games. There's an interesting game called Break finity which is an interesting remix of the classic Arkanoid. Mr. Crab is another one that works really well. Finally I've been spending a lot of time playing this game called Moto Wheelie which is a cross between Tiny wings and hill climbing motor cycle games set in a TRON world.

Re: Best Apple TV Apps So Far

I've been really enjoying some of the casual single touch games. I was impressed with Breakfinity which is a clever remix of the classic Arkanoid. Mr. Crab is another one that works really also. Finally, I've been playing a lot of Moto Wheelie, a simple cross between Tiny wings and Hill climbing motor cycle game set in a TRON world.

Re: Apple Patent Victory Seen Spurring Wider Range of Smartphones

Not a big fan of patent trolls, but am with Apple on this one. The early galaxy phones could be easily mistaken for iPhones.

The whole Jobs vendetta is more personal. His main beef was with How Eric Schmidt sitting on Apple's board was all along planning Android behind the scenes while he had access to sensitive and secret Apple plans. The last time Apple was involved in something this big, it was with Windows copying the Mac. That was again a breach of trust that started the whole thing. Apple had approached Gates to build office apps for the Mac, when Microsoft ended up building windows knowing about macs before they were released. However, being from a family in the legal profession, Gates was smart to legally dot the Is and cross the Ts.

Re: What You Might Not Know About Your iPhone and iPad

You should make this like a quiz to see how much we really know about our devices. There were only 4 small things I did not know from these and they were all in the keyboard section. Nice write up though..

Re: Editorial: Engadget on EyeTap, Project Glass and the future of wearable cameras

Really...
If you don't want strange looking people around you, don't hang out at a place that has strange people. Out in the public, everyone has the freedom to do what they want as long as it's legal. What McDonald's did was totally unethical. Not only did they destroy his property, they assaulted him and descriminated against people dressed different.

As for your privacy, you could be at McDonald's and some dude with a cell phone today could pretend to be talking but actually recording you eating. Actually, McDonald's own security cameras would probably be recording you. If your'e so concerned about your privacy, start wearing a ninja mask.

Re: Abstracting iPhone code into C++

This is exactly what I was looking for. I was planning on writing a more detailed one to help me out with the rest of the toolkit and this is a great starting point. While I'm picking up Objective C, the syntax seems a little inconsistent IMO and the extensive management of releasing objects also seems a little painful.
