iwishiwasacop1, I knew a young man named Mark, he had a fear of black people that kept him from trying to get to know them better. He lived near the projects, he would often say to his friends , stay away from homie valley if you don't want to get robbed or killed. He was almost finished with highschool he wanted to join the army, on the night of April 11th 1994 he drove to B's food shop to pick up his girl, they never arrived home. The next day they were found, both had been shot in the back of their heads. We all figured it was a robbery from one of the homies. Two years went by finally they caught the boys. It was three of them. I'm not going to say what color they are because it shouldn't matter but I will say they were not black. They were so young one had a baby face. If I had been there that night I would have given them a ride. The boys confessed they asked him for a ride, he was going to drop them off a few blocks away. They tried to rob him but things went wrong. I can't help but think if they had been black he wouldn't have pickd them up.Now this may surprise you, Mark was black too. He didn't grow up around other blacks. I wish I had talked to him, maybe I could have done something to open his eyes. I will always believe he was going to die because no-matter what Mark would have given those boys a ride.

Sorry I don't know why I talked about that now, you becareful don't think you are safe just because the face is white.

All except one the oldest, is still locked up. They were so young the court didn't bring adult charges against the other two. I know they have been in and out of the system sice they have been free.. Those kids looked so harmless, if it had not been for their confessions I would never had thought off them as doing something so evil. Innocent baby faces.

Where are you people from? I'm from the Boston area. A city not to far from it. We only have about 2 murders a year. The place is so boring the gangbangers are depressed old people yell at them for making to much noise. The "hood" is not really a "hood" people call it that because blacks and ricans live there. There's really no crime there. When a murder happens in the city its big news people talk about it for months. That's how boring the city is. I got tried of the snow and cold I wanted out so I joined the military, traveled a few places. After all the places I have lived in I would never dream I would be living in a city that has so much crime that even helping some ducks can get you robbed as funny as it is it's, stupid. The world is a funny place.

There's a place not to far from Boston. I was raised there. We only have two murders per year, maybe four if it's in the summer time. The place is so boring old people yell at gangbangers. RESPONSIBLE PARENTS, yes thats the key word, but..no-one wants to be responsible anymore. I bet half the people here make excuses for their children. As another poster put it, my child didn't do it, it's the other child that's bad not mine, he was going along with the others. I noticed in jacksonville, the adults are not to much different from children . A 21yr old has the mind of a 15yr old. A few years back a woman was raped by three teenagers in her home.She didn't press charges she was to afraid, everyone knew about it because the boys were bragging. The reason? They claimed she was acting like she was better than every one..It wasn't the truth she simply didn't want to get involved with people. The adults? Well, they said, if they (Boys) did do it she asked for it. No responibility.She moved out.

I have lived for a long time I have witnessed all sorts of crime I have been a victim myself and none of it ever made any sense.

How long have some of you posted here? The posters who come and chat don't do it because they want to find solutions to make things better, they are here only to complain and blame it on the color, the neighborhoods, and the age of the offenders. But our pointing fingers at eachother will not change anything. At this moment someone is being killed,robbed and raped. We or someone we love could end up being the next news story. If that should happen everyone will come and give their condolences, two seconds later it will be back to the blame and insult games.

For those who say don't blame it on jso, i agree but stop blaming Obama for it too, people were shooting before he came to power.

Vet, I'm on your side man. I didn't say it doesn't start with me. I said people here are like every one else. They don't come here to find solutions they come here to complain and point their fingers at others. You can read it everyday on this news website. I'm not whining, Im only speakng the truth. Half the people here are most likely to defend the bad their own children do but I bet you anything they are the same ones who see all the bad in other children. Just like when the three thugs raped that woman who was only minding her own business ,no body cared that she was raped, they made excuses for the bragging sex offenders.
Look man if you want to come here where I live and talk to the kids I'm all for it just let me know when I'll make sure they are here, but I have to warn you, some of the parents don't give a F@$K what their children hear from you , and in the end that's where it's all going to count.
