I don't go to the movies anymore, so I wasn't going to see this anyway.I have heard very mixed reviews. It's rare that hollywood can portray King's works very well. Too many fingers in the mix, plus what the studios demand.

The larger point is 99% of every Trek episode doesn't deal with "realistic repercussions." I don't get why the people complaining feel so upset about a TV show. I guess there's fans, and there's everyone else who want to make it make sense.

Exactly...in just how many episodes did the team at Trek do thing perfectly, so there was no wondering why or how they made it through whatever danger? From the first in space explosion Star Trek never made practical sense!

I can't give you insights on what bothered me, but I think we all need a breath and just remember it is a TV show, not a way of life. My biggest tak away was JLP looked and acted and even MOVED like he was exhausted...so much for a new body, right? I kept getting the feeling Stewart just wanted it to be OVER.

I loved it except for there was no mention of the number of dead as the fleet fired on all those cities--did each city have it's own defenses? Anyway, there was a lot to love in the three seasons, from a guy who watched TOS as a kid. (I think for many fans younger than I, that is something they may not understand.)
