Being a HUGE fan of DUNE (anyone who has seen my license plate knows that), I will admit that I liked the Lynch version because stylistically it matched almost exactly how I had envisioned the Dune universe while reading the books. I liked the SciFi version(s) because it (they) was(were) much truer to the original story (stories). If someone could come along and use Lynch's vision with the SciFi faithfulness to Herbert's words, they'd have a winner in my book.

The entire attitude of the Republicans has been "Let them eat cake." They seem to forget how well that worked out for Marie Antoinette and her friends.
