Hi there! I'm not here to fart rainbows or anything...but I was on OkCupid off and on since I was 18 (I'm 27 now). I had one long term relationship that lasted a year, and it was also the worst relationship of my life. It took me about 2 1/2 years to heal from the damage of that relationship. Anyhow, since that relationship ended about 3 1/2 years ago, I'd only dated one guy more than once, and that went on for 3 months, met him on Match.com. After that ended, I was just like "meh, whatever."

Tried OkCupid again, no luck.
Even paid for eHarmony, ZERO luck. I met one guy on that site, that on our first phone conversation he told me how he cheated on his last serious girlfriend...I was like "oh, well let's put him over in the reject pile." That happened in May.
I was about to give up again, when I signed back up on OkCupid for the lol factor (I made a blog on here, OkCupidisms about my interactions with other users on the site). I got a random message on June 26th from a guy in my area, asking me for profile advice.

On July 16th we went out on our first date. I've seen him 5 or 6 times since then, and we're both pretty smitten for each other.

I guess what I'm really trying to say (I said I wasn't going to fart rainbows)... Is that it really does seem like when you're ready to give up, there it comes. People always told me this, and I always told them "stfu!" ...and yet, here I am. Having a boyfriend now. lol

Yeah I'm not too terribly concerned, I just wonder what their criteria is... I only really use this for stuff that isn't exactly material for "friends only" on LJ, or things I want to share on Twitter that require more than 140 characters to explain! :)

My Mom and Dad always said they wanted to make a restaurant titled "I Don't Know, Where Do You Want to Eat?" And it would have all different kinds of food for different palates. lol I thought it was a good idea.

I don't think that I've ever had one... How similar do they taste to red tomatoes? I can't eat tomatoes raw unless the pulp is all scraped out (makes me sick) or if it's heated, so I might buy it to try. :)

I've always wondered why people are so afraid of clowns. I have no real feelings one way or another about them, so for it to actually rise fear in some people really does confuse me. I guess I just don't understand it. Maybe I need to watch "It."

My phone got to the point where it fell apart if I opened it. lol luckily my brother had an extra phone he gave me. But now it's a Chocolate, so everyone thinks I must have "cool music" on it. I always want to tell them "that's what I have an iPod for!"

Yeah I can't even wrap my head around the concept of wearing contacts! It's funny, I remember sitting on the teeter-totter (seesaw?) with my friends Tesla and Kasey in kindergarten, and we all took turns touching our own eyeballs with our dirty as hell fingers. Not only did I not get pink eye back then, but I had no problem with touching my eye. Now, I get squeamish about having to fish out an eyelash.
