I switched to vaping to quit smoking and it works for me. Are there questions we don't have the answers to? Yes, of course. Should the industry be regulated? Yes, but not to death please. Can we treat vaping like a smoking cessation tool instead of demonizing it? The Royal College of Physicians in the UK has published several reports on vaping, and has stated that "the hazard to health arising from long-term vapour inhalation from the e-cigarettes available today is unlikely to exceed 5% of the harm from smoking tobacco." The curriculum was comprehensive, the community was super helpful and my mentor gave me all the guidance I needed to complete the curriculum and make my projects the best they could be.

Thinkful is one of the more reasonably-priced and flexible programs. They
charge per month, so you can go at your own pace (fast or slow), and they vary between $300-$600 per month depending on the course. They have also recently added a Freelancer course and career services.

Shortly after completing the course, I got my dream job as a Jr Dev at an awesome company, and I have since been promoted. My salary increase since completing the course has been around 40%. I give Thinkful a lot of credit for giving me the guidance and self-confidence I needed.

Re: This NYC Startup Raised $4.25M to Expand Online School and Offer Career Services

I'm so excited to see Thinkful growing and doing so well! I agree that no one should face that alone. I think it's interesting that you interpreted Kottke's post as ridicule, however. Kottke didn't specify whether his use of the word crazy was a positive or negative adjective. It can go either way. Sure, the parrot thing is a little weird. But people think I'm weird because I treat my cats like tiny, furry humans. I think there's a difference between pointing out that someone is different and ridiculing them for it.

Re: http://blog.mattwaite.com/post/10994534739

Don't be sorry. (Krishna Lunch uses Braggs)

3 tablespoons lemon juice (fresh or bottled, your choice. Lemon
juice is NOT in the Krishna Lunch recipe, but I like it better. If you
leave it out, add an equivalent amount of water)

1/4 teaspoon hing ( aka "asafetida"--optional) You can buy this
in the bulk section at Wards or any Indian store--there's one on 34th
Street, just off of Archer Road, next to the Goodwill Thrift Store. All
other ingredients may be purchased at Ward's or Mother Earth.)

Blend all the ingredients with half the water in a blender. When
the nuts are pureed, add the rest of the water little by little. If the
dressing is too thick, add more water, a tablespoon at a time. The
dressing also thickens up if it sits for more than a half-hour

Re: Learn Python the Hard Way, Exercise 22: What Do You Know So Far?

Yes, thanks, fixed.
