Valid points. One can also easily remerge the interlaced images in Photoshop using the 'lighten' blend mode to combine the interlaced layers (assuming they're interlaced with black).

One could argue that cities used to be much more competitive (i.e. dynamic, heterogeneous, and flexible), but the industry has since 'consolidated' (as large, slow-growing industries are wont to do) and become more homogenous as power has been yielded to the state and federal levels. As workers become increasingly mobile and the digital economy allows for more flexibility, hopefully cities will begin to compete on 'features'.

I don't think this really qualifies as "dissing" Jobs. It's true that he might not be remembered with statues in the third world, but I doubt that that was something Jobs cared about. It's arguable that Jobs has improved the world more through his entrepreneurship than Gates has through his charity.

Thanks! I got some Reef flip flops (the thick soft ones — not the ones with the bottle opener built-in) and despite the reputation of flip flops, they’re actually more comfortable to stand and walk in than a lot of shoes.
