I use a DIGISTOR external USB Blu-Ray burnerr with my ASUS laptop.

You're right, I made sure that it was able to burn and play commercial Blu-Ray movies. Have no problem with it so far.

From my Lenovo netbook, I use the WiFi network to transfer files to my desktop. Some USB Flash drives are slow, and what the heck, the technology is available, so I use it.

Haha. Japanese design never fails to amuse/amaze me.

A DVD drive would just about complete this monster. As it is, I would have to connect my DIGISTOR USB DVD drive when I ask my mom to buy this when she comes back from Tokyo. Hehe.

I like the idea. And I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that if a netbook can handle a PS2 emulator, it would do well with a PSX emulator.

I still have my PSX game discs, and I can rip them with my USB DVD drive or use the games themselves.

Good idea folks. I'm gonna try it later.

Very good.

I've tried some of these ION-powered devices and have been thoroughly satisfied with the video performance. I've even tried connecting my USB blu-ray drive to these with varying results, but some had viewable streams.

Intel has long sat on its backside relaxed that they have the integrated graphics market in their pockets. NVIDIA's ION will blow the Intel GMA out of the water any day, any time.

No Blu-Ray option on that slot loading drive? I read through and it wasn't mentioned. It'd be nice to have a blu-ray option on that screen.

Butr would it be able to handle blu-ray? I have a USB blu-ray drive I'd like to use with this.

Let's hope so. I'm planning to get one of these for my living room area.

As long as Apple keeps stalling on Blu-Ray technology, modders will always be around to make use of the technology.

I prefer using an external blu-ray burner for this, but the logic remains the same.

It looks like a very nice "descendant" of the ASUS Eee.
Specs are nothing spectacular, but kudos to ASUS for putting in an nVidia ION.

Full 1080p viewing on this system seems like a good move since there is little in ways of other amazing features.

An external Blu-Ray drive like mine - http://www.digistor.com/Dig... - would be a good addition to the whole package.

All in all, good one for ASUS.
