Most of these people bought a Tesla to show how eco-aware they are and to brag about it to their rich friends. Plug-in hybrids have become the answer to using less fossil fuel.

My father was a union worker (railroad, post office) for 30+ years and a reliable Democratic party voter (Irish immigrant in the time of JFK). He left the party in the late 1970s after living through the inflation of the Carter administration. He told me "that Reagen fella makes sense". The Democrats don't care about working class voters, it is just another voting block that they take for granted. The police unions endorse Democrats as it helps them when negotiating contracts but most members are conservative and vote accordingly.

I worked in tech for decades; startups that went public and also public companies. If I had done what these DC politiicans had done, I would have been in "Club Fed". We'd be doing some kind of deal with another tech company and invariably there would be a stock price bump when the press release went out and the media convered the event. If I had traded before the public anouncement, I'd be arrested. DC politicians do the equivalent every day.

This is something that liberals do not do and it blocks any kind of reform or rational discussion of immigration. I am the son of proud legal immigrants who loved this country. They came here legally and assimilated but retained their Irish culture - music, food, etc. Every year, a million people become citizens after following the legal process; that number could be increased once the illegals are gone and the border is secure.

Poor Mayor Pete. Several large groups in the Democratic tent are not LGBTQIA+ tolerant - blacks, hispanics, muslims... yet the DNC keeps encouraging him so they don't look bad.
