Now I organize code by 3 main layers (data, domain and presentation/ui) and it looks like this: &lt;a href="https://github.com/blocoio/cardcase/tree/master/app/src/main/java/io/bloco/cardcase" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="https://github.com/blocoio/cardcase/tree/master/app/src/main/java/io/bloco/cardcase"&gt;https://github.com/blocoio/...&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I avoid using fragments and prefer to use custom views instead (reasoning: &lt;a href="https://corner.squareup.com/2014/10/advocating-against-android-fragments.html)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="https://corner.squareup.com/2014/10/advocating-against-android-fragments.html)"&gt;https://corner.squareup.com...&lt;/a&gt;. But my one-year-ago self would probably have used "ui.fragments".&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;What I call just "services" is the business domain logic. Sometimes they're called interactors as well. But yes, design can be a misguiding word.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;More than separating professionals, the goal is to highlight the different skills needed for a product. And that skipping design, puts the pressure up on the developers.
