From the time I wrote that article, my organization preferences have changed. Now I organize code by 3 main layers (data, domain and presentation/ui) and it looks like this: https://github.com/blocoio/...

I avoid using fragments and prefer to use custom views instead (reasoning: https://corner.squareup.com.... But my one-year-ago self would probably have used "ui.fragments".

What I call just "services" is the business domain logic. Sometimes they're called interactors as well. More info here: https://speakerdeck.com/ral...

Although they're not common, hybrid skills inside a team can help bridge the gap.

But even with people doing both design and programming, if the process doesn't value design and the effort it needs, you're stuck with the same consequences, don't you think?

In this case, I was talking about the UI/UX design of a product. But yes, design can be a misguiding word.

More than separating professionals, the goal is to highlight the different skills needed for a product. And that skipping design, puts the pressure up on the developers. And my recommendation is for them to work together throughout the process, and not in separate departments.

Here at Bundlr, we have an iPad near our desks, most of the times just displaying our Google Analytics real-time dashboard. Although the number of concurrent visitors is addictive, it's more useful to figure out traffic sources and usage patterns.

When you click on the Bundlr button, a red rectangle saying "Clip image" should appear on top of each big enough image on the website. By clicking on that button, you can specifically select a particular image to be clipped.
