This makes no sense. I have spent 30 of my 41 years living in Mira Mesa and know this area extremely well. If she was travelling south on Camino Ruiz and turned to the right sharply, she would be in Black Angus' kitchen area, not Carl's Jr. Can someone make sense of this please?

I recently went to The Yardhouse in Los Angeles and had the best burger I have ever had in my life. I am looking forward to seeing if the same is true of the location in downtown San Diego.

I was about to say the same thing. It kills me that I am unable to have children and eventually I will adopt, but for now my dog and 2 kittens are spoiled beyond belief. I so enjoy coming home to them every night. They never complain and are always happy to see me. When I walk though the door my dog is already there and the kittens are coming down the hallway. Adorable!

NoMuffTooTough really needs to get a clue and I hope he/she doesn't spend their entire life being so miserable.

It never fails to amaze me how when there is such a heart wrenching story posted, that a person like "puppychowishorsemeat" will spout their hatred and stupidity. In my experience, animals are better than alot of people. They don't take you for granted, they love you unconditionally, and would never harm you. (realizing, of course, the very minute percentage of dogs that will bite.)

I just don't understand how someone could be so mean to a helpless animal. Does he have such a low self esteem problem that he has to beat the underdog (forgive the pun, please) down? It's absolutely disgusting. If he has the ability to do this to a dog, what would he do to a child who stole his lunch? What a coward.

Sexting is not ok between teenagers. Authorities are actually prosecuting teenagers across the country now. Good news - maybe if these kids are educated that this is not ok, they won't continue into some sexual deviant when they are adults.

You all don't get it. If the Props fail, the Governor has the right to "raid" cities and counties across the state. If that happens, the County of San Diego will lose an additional $70 million. So whether it's through an increase in taxes, or a severe decrease in services and jobs (which will impact the Unemployment Office of the State further complicating the problem), it will still hit everyone. Children will go hungry and not get needed medical care. That goes for older people on fixed incomes as well.

I do agree that so much of this financial issue could be fixed by not subsidizing illegal aliens. The cost of their medical care alone is outrageous. I don't remember what it is, but it was posted here a while ago. I believe it was in the billions. And that does not even take into account the cost that individual companies such as insurance companies incur through payouts for hit and run, theft, burglary. . .

There are so many issues that weigh into this, but unfortunately the reality is that in one way or another, honest, hard-working Americans are going to end up paying for this debacle. It's just our choice as to how we do that.

When positions are frozen or held unfilled the money for those positions are still in the budget. Only when you totally eliminate the position from the budget does it show a cost savings. So the whole "smoke and mirrors" analogy is entirely incorrect.

My 50-pound Doberman mix instantly becomes a lap dog whenever there is thunder. And I would definitely pay anything to get her back. On the other hand, my cats couldn't care in the least. Go figure! I hope all the pets get reunited with their families very soon.

Nowhere is this article does it state that these people could have protected themselves had they been allowed to carry a concealed weapon. You are assuming that they were denied a CCW. NEWS BULLETIN: Some people don't want to carry a weapon.
