You need to adopt a more middle of the road stance there and examine each factual issue as it comes to you. I am obviously not a fan of Carl DeMaio but on the same token I have never posted anything from the Dirty DeMaio website as it has not been substantiated.

I have also been critical of the UT on a number of issues that, on a grand scale, are both pro and con unions and union agendas.

My issue with Carl DeMaio is him being a hypocrite. I think that article pretty well establishes that he is.

This is probably my last post here. I don't use Stalkerbook so I am being phased out. Agree, or disagree it's been a fun ride and sincerely I wish all of you the very best!

Well at least you read it. That puts you way ahead of most people.

Your code word may very well land it in court. And it loses that huge chunk of savings is gone. Wouldn't it make more sense to do the following:

Continue paying back what the city borrowed in the first place. Fully funding the SDCERS annuity would make the ARC significantly less than the 6% match and the 6% Social Security which will both come into play under a 401k system.

Of course it will take until 2025 to do this but the debt to SDCERS will be repaid to then anyway. So as of now this move to a 401k looks to be based more on public relations that reality.

You seem like a bright person. Crunch the numbers over the long term but do it from the prospective of a fully funded CERS annuity. See if it doesn't paint a different picture than what you are looking at now.

His "efficiency seminars" could have been done as a DVD or an online webinar. Instead he shuttled - at our expense - people to his Virginia headquarters at more than $1,000 per person. Given the technology revolution over the last 25 years, such methods are hardly the most efficient.

That aside, the larger issue is how one can even arrive at a place to snatch up no bid federal contracts. They aren't something you can just log onto some website and look for something that suits you and grab it up. You have to be on an approved list from a federal insider.

Your question "I am alleging fraud" suggests you completely missed the hypocrite issue that I mention in almost everyone of my posts against Carl. So let me break it down even more.

1. A man makes millions of dollars off the taxpayers in less than 10 years. He then completely dismisses the fact city employees pay into an interest bearing annuity for their retirement and calls these same people who make hundreds of thousands of dollars off the taxpayers over the course of decades, "crooks." HYPOCRITE.

2. Carl suggests competition is the way to save the city money yet he had ZERO competition when he made his money. HYPOCRITE.

I hope this clarifies things for you. If not, might I suggest your issues are based less on reason and more on emotion.

I ask because even Carl admits this transition will cost more in the initial years than what is currently in place. So no savings there.

87% of the savings projected comes from a 5 year salary freeze which, according to some labor experts, may violate California labor laws regarding good faith negotiations. If that provision is struck down, what will you be left with? Not much really.

So why are you REALLY for it? Are your reasons based on fact or emotional bias?

Now here is the part Carl isn't telling you. The SDCERS system has a value of 5.1 billion dollars. The annual liability is 178 million.

Ask Carl if all of this is true and what what happens. He gets mad and changes the subject. Ask him how he got rich and he will walk away.

Don't believe me? Go to the SDCERS website and verify the numbers. Then, go find Carl and talk to him directly. Watch what happens.
