Apple, Google, Microsoft, Motorola, HTC, RIM (*ahem*) et al, will freeze all R&D and not lean on the likes of AT&T and VZW to push forward? Just an observation, but Apple dropped a bomb (the iPhone) on AT&T's network a few years ago and forced them into a network cleanup mode as well as a wifi build out to ease traffic. What Hesse and many are suggesting is that the carriers are the sole decision in what happens, and that is far from accurate.

Do the carriers account for innovation in the mobile space, absolutely, but certainly not the ratio that many would like the masses to believe.

--
Sent from my Sprint iPhone knock off.

Re: Sprint to AT&T: You’re doing it wrong

How long have you been sitting on that gem? My real world usage of both models supports my testing. The iPad 2 has proven better performance in the majority of uses and OS interactions. Try a GoTo Meeting screen share on both models and tell me the iPad 1 is better in performance.

As a heavy traveler, the feature that made it for me was the mirroring to HDMI. It also didn't hurt that selling my used iPad 1 and buying the new model was at a cost of $75.

Re: iPhone 5 to include 8-megapixel camera, report claims

The iPad 2 Camera could have been 12MP and I would still not use it.
