Penn State falls!

Bama almost did, too...

Had both dropped, a good showing by 'SC today could have bumped the Trojans up in the BCS standings. Still, I think the Trojans may move ahead of JoePa's team.

Texas-OU was a great game to watch.

USC-ASU was a fugly game...I've not seen a sloppier half than today's 2nd half (by both teams) in the Carroll era. The Trojans gave ASU every opportunity to come back with 5 turnovers, but the Sun Devils were too inept to do anything.

Texas will deserve serious #1 vote consideration, and OU shouldn't drop more than a few places--and they deserve to be in front of 'SC, too.

To be pedantic, the Beavers play in Reser Stadium. Beaver Stadium is actually Penn State's house (where these Beavers did not feel at all at home).

'SC was going to play Colorado State, not Northern Colorado. Neither is a big-time opponent, but CSU is at least Div-1A, and the Mtn. West is at least as good as half the BCS conferences this year...Northern Colorado is a Div 1AA team in the Big Sky conference (that only moved up from Div II in 2006).

That's an interesting vision: a VP candidate debate between HRC & Palin...that could have gotten real hair-and-fingernails-flying nasty. Too bad we'll never see it...

I watched the majority of the game. fucla's got a quality defense, but a roller coaster offense with far too much inexperience to be more than a .500 team this year. UT couldn't capitalize on 4 INTs, and their supposed strength, the offensive line, was completely outplayed.

I predict that BYU will beat the bRuins handily, though.
