You're moving back!!! That's so awesome. Whenever that is and wherever I am at the time, I'll be there. :)

I think I had a camp roommate from Viroqua once. I could totally see you living there. I really miss home sometimes, especially in the summer (it's really hot here, and the trees and topography just aren't the same... the plains have a spooky, lonely feel to me). If we ever got an opportunity to move back, we'd definitely consider it.

Keep me updated. Dougie is so gorgeous! You guys look really happy.

Here's the thing. I don't understand why you think I'm mad at you or something, because I'm not. Everyone was cranky on Saturday and I ended up going home too, so it's not like I can really claim camping superiority or something.

However, perhaps because I'm a native Midwesterner, stuff like this really kind of bugs me. It comes off as snobby. Like, if California is so great, maybe you should live there. And you make it seem like anyone who might have had a good time on the trip (which I did for the most part) is an idiot or a hick. I happened to think the river was really pretty.

That's all I got. You can forgive me or not, I guess.

Well, that's actually a good point. If you want, I could make some potato salad with "nayonaise" - it's soy-based and I swear to God, tastes just like the real thing (maybe better). I was maybe going to do that anyway, so...

That last part is linked to something I'd been thinking about for the past few days:

Religious people against gay rights love to say things like "Love the sinner, hate the sin."

But that doesn't really seem to apply where abortion providers are concerned, is it?

I don't think you're as snobby as you say you are. (Except about froyo. HA.) You drink pitchers of Miller Lite and El Rodeo margaritas (taste the corn syrup!) and Red Bull and McDonald's iced coffee. I've seen you at Denny's. :)

There's nothing wrong with having taste or being picky about what you put in your body, as long as you're not a total bitch about it.

I don't think you have to know whether he's the one. Like, does that affect whether you want to be with him right now? If not, just go with the flow.
