I have been muddling around a LOT of DynamoDB articles and Udemy courses - trying to understand best practices with respect to architecture and modelling and your approach has been clear, concise, to the point and enjoyable as well. Thanks again!

Thanks for the post Sathyajith. WordPress -> Markdown is a mucky affair and I ended up using a couple of solutions for moving stuff from WP -> Jekyll.
I used the default Jekyll exporter plugins to get the HTML files and then at the same time, used https://github.com/lonekore... to get the actual markdown and then cobbled together all my posts.

Luckily, I am deciding to ditch most of my posts and just keep 10-20 of them - so not too much effort there.

Pushed all code to Github and then setup AWS Amplify to deploy blog on a git push. AWS Amplify was a pleasant surprise. Super easy to get going.
Only issue was that I had to move my domain to Route53 to make the DNS & certification process clean. Else, my DNS was earlier on CloudFlare and was getting an issue getting the SSL on Amplify.

For now, all good. Moved WP comments -> Disqus and hoping to activate that on the new site and for now, images are on Git - but eventually will move it to CloudFront like you mention.

Yep. It is the Lenovo Vantage app for me as well. Uninstalled it and instantly the screen changed back to it's earlier pleasant self.

This might be just me - but I feel such character assassination pieces are better left to personal blogs. A large publication taking this up seems petty.

While I appreciate the research that has gone into it and the idea that Inc42 wants to save us entrepreneurs from shady dealings, I feel such due diligence is best left to the entrepreneurs. Caveat Emptor.

My cynical side cannot help but feel there is some other motive behind writing a piece like this?

Who watches the Watchmen? :)

Hmm... Very interesting. Thanks for writing about this.

It would help to clarify what were the terms of contract with Doolally? Was it a license to use the image? Was it a work-for-hire? I know these things get often missed when you are working with people who are your friends - but knowing the terms of usage is important for us to understand what is happening here.

Was it: a non-exclusive license? An exclusive license? A work for hire? Was it a royalty free license? etc. etc. Thanks.

Nice article.
It made me remember the time I drove one of my father's friends visiting from the UK from the Mumbai Airport to Pune.

It was an extremely taxing affair with him giving me instructions on which gear to drive on and an ongoing commentary on how UK drivers and traffic sense is so much better than Pune's.

So your point on the traffic being scary for foreigners -- I can vouch that it is completely filled with dread and terror.
Scary would be an understatement.
