I actually wrote a marketing book based on my experiences at Troma: "Everything I Know about Business and Marketing, I Learned from THE TOXIC AVENGER." Check it out at www.ToxicAvenger.marketing. :-)

Re: Have You Scene? Despite graphic violence and sophomoric humor, Toxie is an endearing character due to his charm and monstrous innocence. What other character has survived 4 r\R-rated movies, two comic series, a Saturday morning cartoon (and related merchandise) and an acclaimed off-broadway Musical? Not even Mickey Mouse has done all that! I worked for Troma for 7 years and share many of the lessons I learned during that time in my new book, "Everything I Know about Business and Marketing, I Learned from THE TOXIC AVENGER." It's on Amazon at www.ToxicAvenger.Marketing. :-)

Re: Leaving Sprinklr, headed to blockchain world

Congrats. Thanks for starting the .conversation. One thing to consider with the new domain extensions is that it is not just about re-branding your main web address. There are also many opportunities for agencies and brands to use a new domain name in addition to their main domain. For example a brand.app to point to their mobile app, or a brand.club to point to their loyalty program, or a clever, meaningful and memorable domain name for a campaign based microsite or landing page. With so many choices, and choices that actually add meaning to the right of the dot, the possibilities are .endless. :-) - Jeff Sass, CMO, .CLUB

Re: The Start of Something New

Congrats! One way I think brands (and others) can effectively use new domain extensions is as shortcuts and deep links. An example I gave in my DomainFest keynote is Safeway. The current URL for the "club card" page at Safeway's website is http://www.safeway.com/Shop..., and it is hard to find. Instead, www.club.safeway or safeway.club could easily take you directly to the same page. Either choice is much easier to remember and market than the current unwieldy subdomain.

Re: The Leftovers

I have similar feelings about the show... but also fear I am investing in a trip down a rabbit hole when I remind myself these are the same folks responsible for LOST getting so terribly lost as a story... When LOST ended, I was sorely disappointed and felt I had wasted many, many hours on a creative venture that had ultimately lost it's vision, soul and purpose. While I am giving THE LEFTOVERS a shot, I have little faith it will actually deliver in the long run. And yes, I am totally spoiled by the brilliantly complete storytelling of BREAKING BAD and its most satisfying ending.

Re: Bootie Call

Thanks Dean!

Re: Bootie Call

Thanks Matt! I think the vin.bmw example is really interesting. The introduction of new TLD's presents tremendous opportunities to innovate for marketers and brands. I am sure we'll be surprised by some great applications of logical and meaningful domain names. -- Jeff Sass, .CLUB Domains

Re: 10 Ways To Promote Yourself in The StartOver Economy

Great thoughts Alan!
