You can keep going back as long as you have the historical information available. You also have to consider the inputs each one gave to the existing source. We happen to know how GNB combined a particular phrase, but we do not know how Tiger got/combined sangatis.

Interesting thought. I have in the past written about things like the Jaya TV concert in advance. Kritis being rare or common is only a matter of opinion, because I am not too aware what songs are commonly being sung. I do not attend as many concerts as I used to :) Kanakkus are mostly done on the spot,so it may not be possible to blog about them. As for Karnataka Devagandhari I had actually given a 3 year advance notice :)

Jathi is a small sollukattu phrase that is set to a talam and ragam, like half a line of a tillana.

Charsur only record a few and then we take a call on which to release as cds. Sometimes one or two of these concerts get made available for downloads on the charsur site.
