Ron Paul has been leading the way for YEARS on our freedom, liberty, and constitutional issues. I do not consider him a nut job, and I think he is in this to air ideas, whether he wins elections or not. I also do not consider TEA Party ideas nutty either.

I do not have to "feel better" about myself; I do good works personally and my husband delivered coats to homeless men past winter camped downhill from Riverview Paper Co. Most were white by the way. I just don't see the incentive to take care of yourself/family if govt is going to make sure your neighbors all chip in so you have it almost as good, do you? My opinion is that our welfare state is too generous and a disincentive to work yourself out of so-called "American" poverty.

I say unmanly because he whines too much, and threatening to delay soc sec checks when easily showm govt takes in $200b month and ss checks take only $50b of it! Shameful maneuvering! The point being that the people on all that assistance depend on govt (you & me) and some of us would just as soon they be less comfortable than we are so we could spend our own money as we see fit.

You and Rep Jackson-Lee need to throw away the tattered race card; people aren't accepting that crap anymore. Disagreeing to have the 49% who pay NO FED'L INCOME TAX "share the wealth" by redistribution as the prez has stated as his goal is not racism, a truly awful thing.

Many Republicans are "working". I just love your typical liberal rant; you must be a union member! "Working Families" is the new code for communist/progressives, with raised fists, for the socialists who want "other people's money". We have no poor in America today; everybody thinks "the country is rich" (false, govt only gets from wealth creators, doesn't make wealth) and everybody "deserves" to have whatever the others have. That's why this entitlement society is going bakrupt.
Some of the many safeguards you, or maybe not, provide so everybody can feel "equal":
What is poverty? Americans might well be surprised to learn from other government data that the overwhelming majority of those defined as “poor” by the Census Bureau were well-housed and adequately fed even in the recession year 2009. About 4 percent of them did temporarily become homeless.

Data from the Department of Energy and other agencies show that the average poor family, as defined by Census officials:

● Lives in a home that is in good repair, not crowded, and equipped with air conditioning, clothes washer and dryer, and cable or satellite TV service.

● Prepares meals in a kitchen with a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave as well as oven and stove.

● Enjoys two color TVs, a DVD player, VCR and — if children are there — an Xbox, PlayStation, or other video game system.

● Had enough money in the past year to meet essential needs, including adequate food and medical care.

If you did some research online, you'd know Obama has tripled the debt in 3 yrs; Bush had his part, but ObamaCare has taxes included in it, so taxes ARE ALREADY going to rise. People who believe what Obama says, instead of what he does, are sheep on the way to slaughter. My problem is they are dragging the rest of us down too. Read what Steve Wynn of Las Vegas casino resort, said about business owners fearing Obama administration and not investing/hiring here. And he voted for Obama!
