I had added a framework's Info.plist to my app by mistake. Removing that fixed it.

Google Translated:

非常感谢！ 我已经添加了一个框架的Info.plist到我的应用程序错误。 删除固定它。

Re: CocoaPods vs Carthage

Carthage is indeed great. My favorite part is it doesn't mess with your project like CocoaPods. That said, local development of a dependency is pretty cumbersome with Carthage. Pros & cons. (I exclusively use Carthage.)

Minor nits: it's "Xcode" not "XCode". Also shouldn't that be "carthage bootstrap" instead of "carthage update" as someone joining a project?

Re: Lawsuit accuses Skully co-founders of looting company

That would be great, but I seriously doubt they made anything other than that video.

Re: App of the Week: Seesaw - Cocoa Controls

Here's everything we use: https://gist.github.com/sof...

Re: Why I Don’t Use Interface Builder

For me Storyboards have been a huge waste of time. Pushing stuff onto a navigation controller or showing modals is one line of code. Depending how you present things, you can't always go back. So now you have code to go one direction and not the other.

Personally, I find the visual map of my app really useless. Even for simple apps, it's usually more complicated than a simple Storyboard.

Anyway, if you are productive using IB or just Storyboards, have at it. If you're productive doing it in assembly, have at it. I think trying without IB is a good learning experience, but everyone should do whatever works for them. Personally, I think if you're using IB or Storyboards, you have the opportunity to be more productive.

Re: Why I Don’t Use Interface Builder

Exactly. It's a shame more resources don't start you off in code. It's much simpler in my opinion.

Re: Why I Don’t Use Interface Builder

I usually open up Photoshop (but something like Acron, etc will totally work) to measure stuff from the designs. I often take screenshots of the simulator and measure that as well to avoid guessing.

Re: Why I Don’t Use Interface Builder

Exactly :)

Re: How I Design for iOS

Good stuff. The tools don't matter that much. I find Fireworks' color picker maddening, so I still use Photoshop. I like the idea of everything being vector though. Sketch is also really neat. It's really hard to keep universal apps small, especially if the design is pretty custom with lots of full screen textures. It would be great if Apple came up with a better solution. Eventually, everything will be @2x and this solves that problem too.

Re: Sinatra VS Rails

I agree with @Kaspar Schiess Rails is definitely harder, but it will talk to a database, handle migrations, do view inheritance, and tons of other stuff that requires tons of work or external libraries. There are lots of books, screencasts, blog posts, etc on Rails. The number of stuff on how to cobble together a bunch of gems and Sinatra is way less.

Don't get me wrong, Sinatra is great for simple stuff. I definitely think Rails has it's place, even for a beginner.

Re: http://chriseppstein.github.com/blog/2011/06/05/my-daughters-first-pair-programming-session

That is really awesome. There is a lot of data on the screen for your eyes to take in. For power users, that's fine. For people like my mom, they just want the old one back.

I think multi-column Facebook would be cool, but for 90% of their users, it would be too complicated.

Re: http://blog.bradgarland.net/post/581752061

That was excellent!
