To refute Kamphuis, Spamhaus does NOT shut down web sites! I have chosen to refuse delivery of mail from servers Spamhaus has identified. Those identified servers are still quite free to send e-mail, and I am free to refuse to accept delivery. It's a form of using caller ID to decide if you want to answer a ringing phone, not disconnecting the phone of the caller.

All very interesting, but *not* news - most, if not all, of this was being discussed more than 5 years ago... and many of the structures/markings were already old then... certainly known by the intelligence community.

If you need something you can trust, avoid Micro$oft... haven't we learned *that* yet (typed from an Ubuntu box!).

Also, Skype may (normally) be easy enough for most folks, but it's far
from bullet-proof, and actually has serious architectural problems, as
explained in last December's outage: http://bit.ly/ejcn0k

This app is broken (only get a white screen) for at least the second time... in early July and again a few days ago (WebOS v 1.1 upgrade?). I'd buy it if it worked, but only because there's a desktop app as backup for when the mobile app breaks....
