Yes. Ads that are embedded in Twitter or FB status updates should be denoted as such. However, I think that if I as a user of a product enjoy that product I will want to share this legitimately with my followers/friends. Having both sounds like the best solution to me.

This is great. Everyone lambasted Bush for not caring enough about technology. The tide turns and haters come out of the woodwork to complain about a visionary President appointing a visionary in the tech industry as an advisor.... hrm... sounds like a TERRIBLE idea to me. I guess Bobby D was right "you can please some of the people part of the time, part of the people some of the time..."

Ohhh poor old media... sad face :( I don't think they can get their act together- by the time it takes for the board members of a TV network to get together for a meeting a viral trend could develop, reach its peak, and start its decline. My predication: old media will never catch up to new media and will die a very slow death due it's greedy ways!

You are on to something with your hipster bashing. Yet, I feel something is missing from your post. Have you had any real life encounters with hipsters? A girlfriend that used to be a hipster? A guy friend who suddenly converted to hipsterdom? Have you ever found a wounded hipster and rehabilitated them back to being a healthly normal human? Have you done any empirical testing that backs your claims in this blog post?
