Once you discover pinball, you'll realize that there is an entire world you never knew existed. I run the Boulder Pinball League mentioned in the article, and also just placed four machines at The Connection (the bowling alley) on the CU Boulder campus. The new Game of Thrones machine is arriving this weekend (probably Sunday, if not sooner)!

Brad, I added these guys to the "Boulder is Hiring" (http://boulderstartupweek.c... page for Boulder Startup Week (May 18th - 22nd). I've been having a hard time getting people to reach out to me with their jobs - almost everything on there came from my own searching.

Seems like just about everyone in town is hiring! If you or anyone who sees this knows anyone I missed, please let me know.

Although I see your point, you also need to remember that, as mentioned, many startups are founded by generalists and need help in almost every department.

We're not looking for someone who just wants a paycheck - we want someone who is also passionate about our idea, and can step in and be an expert at whatever they are already an expert at.

You can do sweet mockups and code it out in CSS? Awesome, the guy who is doing mockups/html/css/sales/ceo work can now focus more on sales. Can you do Rails backend stuff in your sleep? Great, the guy who does that can focus on the front end.

The first thing we ask anyone we talk to is: "What do YOU want to do?" If you're passionate about working on any one aspect of development that we need help on (which is most aspects), then you're WAY more likely to get hired.

We haven't been sending out email updates with Everlater, but we plan to as soon as the site is open - which is soon. So maybe just announce any big features via email - and talk about the small stuff on the blog. Not sure about notifications within the site, but it's something I'd like to do.

I'll subscribe to the company blog usually.

An email is fine once in a while for big new features (it doesn't bother me TOO much if you haven't asked for permission, as long as you aren't doing it constantly).

Twitter: no.
Facebook: no.

I would like to see more notifications when I log into sites. THAT is the time I will use your new feature, and not necessarily when I happen to check my email and read about it.
