I checked with the apiary inspection folks as suggested, and the earful that's been claimed in these comments could not be validated. They looked at this story as a human interest piece that no one saw any alarm over. It's great to have a dialogue and I appreciate the discussion. Let's do so, though, in a respectful way. "Anonymous," you are within your right to be anonymous, but I would encourage you to put your name on your comments so we can know who you are. Thank you all.

Re: City Staff Will Propose Options For Possible Plastic Bag Ban

Thanks for the reply to the story. Personally, we have been bringing our own bags to the store for years now. I admit that when I go for just a few things, I forget to grab a reusable bag. So we're trying to teach ourselves to bring them back out to the car. It will be interesting to see which options the committee chooses from the recommendations the staff will present. Stay tuned and I'll let you know!

Re: SAPD: Park Attack Never Happened

Thank you for the gracious response! Question for you: do you think Downtown Tuesday, the free parking program that allows people to park for free at city-owned garages, lots and meters, helps at all in this regard?

Re: With Downtown Building Vacancy Rate "Too High," Leaders Push To Make Progress

Thanks for the comment, Melissa. The divide is still great, as you point out. I think there's a lot of thought going into it, but there's a lot to get done. The question is how does the city invite and entice people at the beginning of this process? Just trust it will happen? Just wait? How long? Lots of questions.

Re: Beacon Hill Neighbors Recommend Zoning Change Request For Controversial Art Gallery

Cosima, thanks for the correction. The planning commission vote has been amended above. Also, the paragraph at the end of the story did reflect correctly that BHANA will present the result of the votes to the Zoning commission. A conflicting statement above it did say planning, but the end has remained correct. Thanks for writing in.

Re: City Gives San Antonio Districts Friday Deadline To Finalize Pre-K 4 SA Enrollment

Spots may still be open. Also, I didn't think VIA had an old app. Regardless, many other transit authorities have pretty decent apps that allows people to manipulate with a variety of transportation methods: subways, buses, above-ground rail systems. I don't know if my phone was having trouble when I tried the VIA app out, but it also was giving me major errors. One of them was saving a location and then inputting it as a destination. I tried getting a route from my current location to that "favorite" saved location and it thought I was in Georgia.

Re: Now That Curriculum Is Set, Pre-K 4 SA Almost Ready To Go

Don't be at all! You know what, you're right... it shouldn't be ignored. I think this is going to make a great story! I would even love to invite you to be a part of it. Maybe we can get a few teachers in on the dialogue. How does that sound? Email me at ryan at tpr dot org. There's a lot going on with Pre-K 4 SA. I'm at a lot of board meetings, and sometimes the story is just -- what's happening or what happened. So this is really great to get this level of interest so we can go further. Again, don't apologize because I really do thank you for the reply and passion for education. I'm going to reach out to Pre-K, and Frog Street, and then hopefully we can all get together next week and dig into this. When you email me, let me know what times work best for you. Thanks again, Josh!

Re: Now That Curriculum Is Set, Pre-K 4 SA Almost Ready To Go

Hi Josh! Thanks for the feedback. I think propaganda is a little harsh. This isn't the first of the curriculum coverage we've given Pre-K: http://tpr.org/post/committ... and it's certainly not the first or last of our overall Pre-K coverage: http://tpr.org/term/pre-k-4-sa. This story was to simply go on the record and say which program was selected, and how much it costs. I think you have a good idea now to go further and see what the curriculum is all about and if any school or community did not like Frog Street. But again, thanks for listening, for your comment, and please do both often! -Ryan Loyd

Re: Pastor Joe Sullivan's Midnight Marriages Still Without Controversy

After last year's incident, Rickhoff said he would look into opening the ceremony up to other pastos. They say the short answer is yes, if the bill was overestimated, you'd get a credit on the next bill when an actual read is taken. You can also call customer service at 353-2222 to tell representatives you want a refund. Here is a link provided from CPS Energy on bills. http://www.cpsenergy.com/Re....

Re: Lawmakers Begin 83rd Legislature Mindful of Last Session

Many hope education funding will be restored as well as money to other state services. We'll have to see how lawmakers decide to use the newfound money. As Sen. It kind of goes along with my liking of the name Oliver. Eddie Oscar? Oscar Eddie? Hmm. I also like Luke very much. Luke Oscar? We love Anna because of the family name, and so were thinking Anna Gayle (sounds like Annabelle -- Darin's little one).

Re: You and me, and baby makes three

I checked the Chinese calendar -- it says boy.
