I'm the reporter who reported this story. I checked with the apiary inspection folks as suggested, and the earful that's been claimed in these comments could not be validated. They looked at this story as a human interest piece that no one saw any alarm over. It's great to have a dialogue and I appreciate the discussion. Let's do so, though, in a respectful way. Thanks for the reply to the story. Personally, we have been bringing our own bags to the store for years now. I admit that when I go for just a few things, I forget to grab a reusable bag. So we're trying to teach ourselves to bring them back out to the car. It will be interesting to see which options the committee chooses from the recommendations the staff will present. Thanks for the comment, Melissa. The divide is still great, as you point out. I think there's a lot of thought going into it, but there's a lot to get done. The question is how does the city invite and entice people at the beginning of this process? Just trust it will happen? Just wait? How long? Lots of questions.

Cosima, thanks for the correction. The planning commission vote has been amended above. Also, the paragraph at the end of the story did reflect correctly that BHANA will present the result of the votes to the Zoning commission. A conflicting statement above it did say planning, but the end has remained correct. Thanks for writing in.

I personally don't like the app. It's basically Google maps pulled into an interface. Also, I didn't think VIA had an old app. Regardless, many other transit authorities have pretty decent apps that allows people to manipulate with a variety of transportation methods: subways, buses, above-ground rail systems. I don't know if my phone was having trouble when I tried the VIA app out, but it also was giving me major errors. One of them was saving a location and then inputting it as a destination. I tried getting a route from my current location to that "favorite" saved location and it thought I was in Georgia.

Hi Josh! Thanks for the feedback. I think propaganda is a little harsh. This isn't the first of the curriculum coverage we've given Pre-K: http://tpr.org/post/committ... and it's certainly not the first or last of our overall Pre-K coverage: http://tpr.org/term/pre-k-4-sa. This story was to simply go on the record and say which program was selected, and how much it costs. I think you have a good idea now to go further and see what the curriculum is all about and if any school or community did not like Frog Street. After last year's incident, Rickhoff said he would look into opening the ceremony up to other pastos. This year, when I asked Rickhoff about any other pastor performing the ceremony he said no one else came forward.

James, I contacted CPS. They say the short answer is yes, if the bill was overestimated, you'd get a credit on the next bill when an actual read is taken. Many hope education funding will be restored as well as money to other state services. We'll have to see how lawmakers decide to use the newfound money. As Sen. Leticia Van de Putte of San Antonio said during her speech as President Pro Tem of the Senate, (paraphrased) let's identify goals and then figure out how to accomplish them.

I actually like "Oscar" a lot! It kind of goes along with my liking of the name Oliver. Eddie Oscar? Oscar Eddie? Hmm. I also like Luke very much. Luke Oscar? We love Anna because of the family name, and so were thinking Anna Gayle (sounds like Annabelle -- Darin's little one).

I checked the Chinese calendar -- it says boy. But I had a dream the morning we confirmed the pregnancy with the doctor. I asked if they knew what it was yet (of course, that's unrealistic at this point) but they said "Of course, it's a girl." Hmm.
