Sounded like propaganda. Why wasn't there any mention of the other programs? What were their shortcomings? Are there any criticisms of Frog Street in other communities that aren't being voiced? I love you TPR but come on, please give full coverage of the issue.

Re: Now That Curriculum Is Set, Pre-K 4 SA Almost Ready To Go

Hi back Ryan! Thank you for replying to my comment. Completely unexpected and totally appreciated. And yes, My bad for the word propaganda. I am a public school teacher I was bringing my own baggage to the table about curriculum decisions. I was overly harsh and I apologize. That said, curriculum is a really big deal. It is a broad decision that will have a profound impact on many of San Antonio's children. I know it seems like policy-wonk to many, but this is the nitty-gritty of education. Unfortunately there will be teachers who do not look beyond the curriculum for better answers and methods of teaching. So, it is important that our kiddos receive the most effective curriculum possible. That's why I put the questions up above. After listening to so many sales pitches and trainings from programs that guarantee their program is the best - I'm a bit skeptical of any program. I checked out the rest of the coverage and I don't see those questions above being asked or answered. But again, I'm a policy wonk for education, so that's totally understandable.

I'm a huge fan of waking up to TPR's morning edition and I love your coverage in general man. In fact, I'm really embarrassed that my first comment was a negative one. Keep up the great work and thank you for it as well. - Josh
