For us in Europe, this is a big deal too. While the European Union is working on lowering roaming charges, there's still a long way to go.

Whenever I travel on business for longer periods, I simply get a second phone and an additional phone number. For countries I frequent, like the UK or Germany, I have a regular number, which my contacts know -- in addition to my Danish cell.

Do you know where I can find the TED book club / overview of the books they send out? I tried to search their web site but couldn't find anything?

Good points. Especially the app ecosystem for the BlackBerry is needed heavily. Also for Nokia and Sony Ericsson. It doesn't fly as it is right now

Wrt. flight tickets, the integration in Scandinavia is super smooth. I get an sms 24 hours before flight departure, can just reply yes to it to check in (there's also mobile web and voice check-in, but I think the sms is the best). Then, arriving at the airport, I go straight to security and the gate, only using my credit card or airline miles card.

Gmail already supports IMAP -- I use it all the time; on my PC, Mac, and iPhone.

Go to Settings (upper right corner), click Forwarding and POP/IMAP (tab #5 in the settings pane) and then enable IMAP in the bottom.

Agree. We had this in Denmark also, but recently (within the past couple of years I think), legislation was passed that the airline has to market the total price to the consumer upfront. I actually believe this was an EU-wide directive, but can't remember for certain.

Agree :-) good to bring clarity to the discussion.

Market cap, however, is not the debt and equity combined, but only the market value of the equity -- i.e. share price times the number of shares outstanding.

Thanks for all the great content you create :-) I love it.

I also finally got the point with a tumblog, compared to the weblog, and am starting up mine. I also like the idea of posting music, but I am a little concerned with the legality of it. What is your perspective on this? Is there a fact base which supports users to post music to their blogs?

Separating the Chairman of the BoD is a very good idea, in fact, I think it is a necessity to good corporate governance.

In Denmark (and--as far as I know--most EU countries) is it illegal to be both the CEO and the Chairman of the same company--these two roles are required to be separated by law. The reason for this is, of course, to prevent conflicts of interests and other types of abuse, especially of the shareholders of the company.

I considered buying a tablet pc when they first came out, but I was also worried whether it could actually substitute my laptop, or just complement it. I was also worried with quality of design, ease of use, etc.

Last year, August, I bought the T42p, my best buy ever. But keep on posting us on the x tablet series. I am looking forward to hearing both the tablet experiences and about the IBM/Lenovo shift.
