As much as I like the new Berlin (Beijing), Shanghai gets my vote – partly as it's the exception to the cerebral (beautiful) north-corporate (scummy) south Asia/Oceania city dichotomy of Chiangmai-Bangkok, Luang Prabang-Vientiane, Hanoi-Saigon and Sydney-Melbourne.

Thanks again for your support, Charles. I'm honoured to feature so prominently in PP. Regardless of the personalities involved, it is a story that needs telling.

I'll respond fully in a post on my own blog very soon, but will just finish this comment off by colouring in some detail. The CD in question actually suggested that I wouldn't fit into his agency as they needed people who would "sit in the corner and do one thing." And he said that deadpan, as if he was referring to an accomplished skill.
