Do you remember the "Grusome Twosome" in the Wacky Races. Personalized weather should be a prediction of the clouds or sunshine above your head, where ever you are or plan to be.

The game theorists will have a field day working out the carrier / device / product combinations to offset / amplify the threat / opportunity from Android and Google navigation. Google's disruptive product will reveal how much scope there is for product and business model innovation.

A familiar dilemma. 78% of businesses still have BlackBerrys, only 20% iPhone (some businesses have both). We prioritized BlackBerry, porting to all enterprise devices. Now we're the #1 paid traffic app. We concentrated on usefulness, relevance and ease of use as key attributes for Blackberry users. Some functionality is better suited to BlackBerry OS too, apps that require background capabilities for instance.

I tried the BlackBerry JDE beta version of OS 5.0, uploaded software designed for OS4.7 and was relieved that the software appeared to work.

Do you think this was luck or will app software built for prior OS' work on OS 5.0?

Prompt's server may be blocked by T-Mobile. I am working with them to get white listed. Proxpro Prompt is an AT&T certified solution. I shall stay in contact until this issue is resolved.

Great to see actual growth continue as projected in 2007. Strategy Analytics forecasts have been very accurate over the past few years.

Andy and Jason, I think you make important points. It's hard to gain critical mass around mobile social networking (MSN). People simply won't bother unless they see value immediately, they are not likely to invite people either. Whrrl content, beyond MSN, is a move in the right direction, however whether the experience is sufficiently strong in comparison with Google maps, is questionable. Then there is the network effect, are people going to contribute, I have a couple of times, but not everyone will. People hate SMS charges, so I'm not sure if this is the best vehicle. I'm interested to see where iFob goes. This may have a chance, particularly as nobody as dared introductory services so far. I fear they may fall into the same chasm for lack of content.
