Publishing comments like that doesn't really contribute to the discussion. And being anonymous, how do we know it wasn't "planted" by someone trying to make the other side look bad?

Re: Pro-Homosexual Bill Tabled in South Dakota Legislature

Bob, I pray for your mother and your family and her caregivers strength, peace, and healing this night.

Re: South Dakota Governor Race Getting More Interesting

Did you download Munsterman's book? What a heartless thing to do.

The end-of-life counseling (which is in Medicare thanks to a Republican amendment) is there so people can have a choice about such things and leave the awful decisions up to their families.

As a believer in liberty and personal responsibility, I would think you'd approve of such a ghing.

Re: UCLA Study: Homosexuals Seek Medical Treatment Twice as Often as Heterosexuals

You are quite selective with your selection of sins. My personal devotions and my intellectual life (which I refuse to separate) have led me to believe that the sins of pride, racism and especially apathy are much more dangerous than anything sexual, which you seem to be pretty focused on.

The parable of the Good Samaritan comes to mind. Remember the priest was by all accounts a very righteous man. In today's context, the Samaritan was probably a LGBT atheist.

Namaste, Bob!

Re: UCLA Study: Homosexuals Seek Medical Treatment Twice as Often as Heterosexuals

Eph 4:29: Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for edifying, as fits the occasion, that it may impart grace to those who hear.

Somehow, I doubt that threatening people with damnation was really what Paul had in mind.

Re: UCLA Study: Homosexuals Seek Medical Treatment Twice as Often as Heterosexuals

Bob, I feel very sad for you because your sin of pride that blinds you to accepting other humans as they are.

It's also sad that you have such a low opinion of animals, and cling to the medieval assumption that our species has a special claim on history. This flies in the face of everything we observe in the natural world, and could lead to the end of our own species if we don't figure this out soon.

I guess you don't know my dog, who is a wonderful moral example (most days). If only I could love half as unconditionally.

Re: UCLA Study: Homosexuals Seek Medical Treatment Twice as Often as Heterosexuals

I also want to add that you conveniently left off the next two paragraphs, which are very important to understand the study results.

The researchers speculate the increased use of healthcare might be the result of higher exposure to discrimination, violence and other stressful life events.

"The pervasive and historically rooted societal pathologizing of homosexuality may contribute to this propensity for treatment by construing homosexuality and issues associated with it as mental health problems," she added.

Re: UCLA Study: Homosexuals Seek Medical Treatment Twice as Often as Heterosexuals

> It's hard to ignore the truth about homosexuality

Uh, like it occurs in the animal kingdom, some folks are just born gay and it's part of the wonderful diversity of humanity, and God shows no favorites so arguing about whether gays are qualified for the ministry is a total waste of effort for Christians?
