And I believe Paul Dano is about four years younger than Zooey, and in my mind I think that age dynamic works well here.

I'm not so sure it's the scripts' problem. The screenplay for BEOWULF that Roger Avery and Neil Gaiman turned in was really good, but something was lost in its translation to the screen. I feel like Zemeckis is so focused on ushering in the technology and getting the masses to embrace it that, even if the animation ends up extremely polished, the film making suffers.

Yeah we caught a screening of it at USC. But yeah, pretty damn amazing. We just caught The Wrestler last night too and that's definitely worth catching too.
