I don't think you should call it spam without considering how people use these tools. I don't think it's wrong that you try to get together people with same interests - even more that you can't bother them without them following you back which brings us back to the content/message you are trying to say.

Yes, Starbucks shows that it knows the social networks but I think it lacks more integrated campaigns and stronger interaction with costumers.

Didn't saw any changes on my Facebook account and I hope you are wrong about storing phone contacts over at FB. Although it may be an useful feature if you could do taht - of course with your agreement.

What I can recommend is to test out extensions you want to use and it is important to be very critical on the number of addons you install. I'm currently use 7-8 extensions and I haven't noticed any significant problems with memory or speed.

Yes, there are of course those visitors who are getting updated from latest version but it doesn't change the fact. Also if we take together IE users (v7.0 and 8.0) than Firefox unfortunately is far behind.

Google wave is in closed beta - you need Google Wave invite to use it. If you don't have one, ask your friends maybe someone can invite you.

To add these gadgets simply follow the instructions in the post. Basically you need to add these gadgets as a new contact within Wave - search for the emails in the post for every gadget.

Sure you can do this, but on other hand you need to think about messages and emails you are sending to your friends. Some of them can be really annoyed. So what I'm saying is - it is better to think about these things yourself if you want to build your social profile.
