I'm getting embarrassed on your behalf. Look up the definition of "public", then "private", and then "stalker" or "to stalk".

You would think it should be obvious.

Re: Johnny Miller Tiger Woods' Ball Flight Too 'One-Dimensional' | Golf Channel

I'm not sure I agree with this. A draw is almost always a safer shot, unless you play the feared snap hook. When you really require accuracy, two things can happen to your cut (fade); 1. It stays left which is ouch and which happens a lot, even with Tiger and; 2. it slices, in which case it almost goes further right than it goes long.

I also disagree on the sentiment that it's a confidence thing. The true beauty of a high cut (fade) is that it <emphasis>lands softly</emphasis>. He hits his scoring irons so ridiculously far that he will most likely try and play the high cut from most positions. If it hits the intended area, it will have birdie written all over it, virtually always. A draw simply does not give you that soft landing.

Having said that, it does hurt to watch when he plays Augusta for example. So maybe he relies on the shot a tad too much. Possibly. Perhaps. Who knows? We don't. He does. This is only my personal opinion.

Re: Video Tiger Woods, Daughter Sam Walk Together at TPC Boston | Golf Channel

Why would you want the camera on you when you're having a very bad day at the office? That's right, you don't. It also seems as if you imply that he brought his daughter to the tournament just to get the cameras on him. Your comment defies logic.

Re: Video Tiger Woods, Daughter Sam Walk Together at TPC Boston | Golf Channel

Can't win them all. Which you so delightfully covered with your blanket "idiot" statement. Don't think all of Tiger's fans are oblivious to his faults either. I'm also sure that no one is faultless. And that includes me. And you unfortunately. So if you want to talk about being objective, say, about golf, let's remove everyone's personal / private lives, on and off course behaviour and look at just golf. Then you'll see, through statistics and his general play, why he has so many fans.

If you want to be objective about, say, the private lives of golfers, then take away the golf and look at each individual's record - which may or may not be readily available in the media - and you'll see why many people, which includes you it seems, dislike the guy. That's the beauty of freedom of choice.

Not liking the guy is your right. Calling all of his fans idiots is too, but it's in poor taste really. We have a right to appreciate what he's done for the game and for the talent he possesses. Whether I will introduce my daughter to him has nothing to do with the sport and the reason we like to watch him play.

Re: Adam Scott Moves to Career-Best 2nd in World Rankings | Golf Channel

It is a real putter. I swear I could actually see the putter when he shot a 66 on Sunday. He used it on the greens mostly. He got to those greens hitting some amazing iron shots, made possible by good tee shots. Apparently, that's how you win golf tournaments. They say a golfer "putts for dough", but clearly that's rubbish as it requires precision to allow these players to hit approach shots from the correct angles to give them the best opportunity to use said putter. So I think everything starts at the tee shot. Which he's pretty good at too, incidentally.

PS: The OWGR evolve or rotates within a given time period. So Adam's 10 career wins have little to do with his current #2 ranking. His pretty spectacular (current) season does, however. You'll find his stats in this article. I guess it's also important that the OWGR evolves, otherwise Jack would still be number 1 even though he doesn't play anymore. I think if you want to look at historical statistics, best would be to check out the Hall of Fame. You might have incorrectly confused the two terms.

Re: 2013 The Barclays - Justin Rose Three-Putts 72nd Hole Loses By a Shot | Golf Channel

Not illegal. We have a sport here where I come from, of which the rules are changed frequently as well. That doesn't make the previous rules illegal when they are still accepted as the actual rule. Part of rule changes are to better the game. Many players adapt quite well when the new rules are enforced. Scott and co may or may not adapt as well or at all. But then again, they just might. At the end of the day, and golfing history, there's will still be printed as legal victories. Why is it so hard to understand?

Re: 2013 The Barclays - Justin Rose Three-Putts 72nd Hole Loses By a Shot | Golf Channel

Scott's one of the worst putters (that has won) I've seen. Maybe more credit should be given to his tee shots and iron play. And it wasn't such a big pain as some of the commenters here make it out to be. Not in the slightest. Add to that the usual apps I would use: TIME Magazine, New York Times, Forbes, Fast Company etc. and I can tell you that for R 59 per month, Blackberry's cost effectiveness went a really long way for me personally.

I now run Samsung's Galaxy S2 on Android ICS and have had my fair share of experience with iPhone, and still, I am not surprised why Blackberry is so popular. It's an excellent product (for what you pay), with a service that leaves you with the exact knowledge of what your bill will look like at the end of the month.

Re: The death of BlackBerry [Infographic]

Seem to have neglected to mention that in 2009, Research in Motion was named "Fastest growing company in the world."

Sad to see how they have deteriorated.

Re: How free is Vodacom News4u (spam)?

Vodacom is getting more annoying by the day. I simply cannot recommend an out the box Windows Mobile phone with 6.1 running. And yes, still no app store which makes it really hard at times to find applications, especially up to date as many versions are scattered all across the net.

Another downfall is that it seems Windows Mobile 6.5 won't officially launch very soon either. And when it does, STILL no app store. It seems we'll have to wait for Windows Mobile 7 sometime next year to launch together with the app store...but I'm going to stick my neck out and say...watch out for something spectacular. Sadly, it will be too little too late I think.

With Android making inroads - you can bet some 'open source' movement porting the OS to many more devices.

From the lot, HTC has done a great job with what they had to work with. And lets be honest, while a stylus is regarded as uncool...it does come in handy at times. I did a lovely spider sketch of an idea that popped in my head late last night which would definitely have been impossible without a stylus or on an iPhone.

My conclusion: It's a lovely looking phone with some good functionality..but as I mentioned, the Omnia HD should be a much easier sell.

Thanks for including my "I heart Windows Mobile" part :-) I do feel for MS. There aren't many people with the sort of patience to sculpt their device to their liking and are stuck...and will be stuck for a while still...with phenomenal technology hampered by antiquated software in Windows Mobile 6.1.

Re: US Texting Champ Sends 470 Text Messages per Day

Ahh nice info, thanks Wogan.
