Yeah, as I mentioned in the post we've always seen that scene in the trailer as Pepper dropping the mask/helmet out of the plane and Tony jumps down after it. Not sure if that's a different scene or whether only one of them with be in the movie. They're both great, though, I don't know which one I would choose! You?

I disagree with the other commenters. I LOVED the Temple. I thought they did a great job with the set, the whole look of it. And I kind of dug the fact that it wasn't as magical and "other worldly" as we had initially though. The unseen will always build stuff up to be more than it is.

Leaving the Island didn't cause Locke to lose his ability to walk. He fell down the well and broke his leg. I think that once you're healed, you're healed. You don't need to stay on the Island for you to stay healed, although Rose worried that her cancer would come back. But that was just her scared thoughts.

I totally disagree. I loved Wanted. LOVED it. Such loopy nonsense but a boat load of fun for the 100 mins or however long it was on for. The dialogue was satirical and whip shart, the action was INSANE and the ridiculousness just added to the fun of it all. And Jolie wasn't exactly sore on the eyes in that role.

I wouldn't mind a sequel to it, although the idea of Jolie coming back to life was admittedly stupid. I hope that it's still on and McAvoy comes back.

Look in the trailers and TV spots, he uses his powers a lot and kicks a lot of asses. Doesn't he look like he could handle himself?

I was just making a joke of the fact he wore a black suit and went all emo. I wasn't saying it went dark and gritty like Batman Begins.

You have to admit that Spider-Man 3 was a lot darker at least compared to the first two, which felt a lot more "fun."

I dunno, it sounded like he slammed ALL of the Batman movies before Begins.

And I realize Burton still had 3D in mind but the point is it's STILL being converted in post-production.

Oh, and I am a HUGE fan of Burton. Beetlejuice is one of my favorite movies and there's only a couple of his I haven't seen (Mars Attacks, Ed Wood).

Yeah I know what you mean. But here's a theory that I read that sounds good to me:

The Losties detonating the Hydrogen bomb WAS The Incident all along that the Dharma folk referenced in the videos, it just never caused what Daniel thought it would i.e. it didn't make it that the Hatch was never built. It caused them to need to build the Hatch and push the button because the Hydrogen bomb caused it to and to let out the energy unless it was supressed (by entering the numbers).

So the alternative reality where 815 never crashed wasn't caused by them detonating the Hydrogen bomb but rather it's just what WOULD have happened had they not crashed on the Island. The reason The Island was under water was because of the Losties not being there to detonate the bomb, meaning whatever the Dharma folk did at the Swan work site (hitting the energy pocket) that was the thing that caused the Island to sink (remember, it had to be AFTER the '70s when Dharma was there because you saw the Barracks, Shark, with Dharma logo etc), some sort of magnetism pulled/pushed it under the water. Also, it goes a ways to explaining why Desmond was on 815, or rather why he wasn't on the Island pushing the button: If the Island sank in 1977 when the Dharma folk hit the energy pocket then that would presumably kill everyone who was on it, including Widmore. Which means he would never father Penny, which in turns means Desmond would have no reason to go on that round the world race. He just happened to be on flight 815 (or perhaps the Universe was trying to course correct, as Eloise Hawking said it has a way of doing).

It makes more sense than the Losties causing the alternative reality because, as I said, they wouldn't have been to the Island in the first place to cause the detonation of the hydrogen bomb.

Just wanted to address one of the points you brought up about the alternate timeline: How could the bomb have worked exactly that way? If they successfuly detonated the bomb causing the Hatch to never be built and flight 815 to not have crashed on the Island then that would mean the Losties never went to the Island and weren't there to detonate the bomb that reset the timeline. See what I mean? I know it may just be something we have to accept but it's something that keeps sticking in my mind nonetheless. Although I suppose it makes as much sense as Miles talking to dead people or the Island moving through time, which I seem to be on board with :)
