Yes, this prayer was answered. But how do you wrestle with people who's wives died after three years of wrestling with cancer. Or who prayed for safety and their child was raped? God does answer prayer. But the way things turn out is not always better than I could have hoped or imagined. Thankfully it often is. But I can't discount the present evil in the world and it's role.

Re: We Will No Longer Be Promoting HBO’s Game of Thrones

The decision doesn't surprise me, nor do I disagree with it. But that it took *this* for you to come to this conclusion is shocking to me. I couldn't make it through the first episode of the show.

Sexualization leads to over-sexualization, which always leads to offense-sexualization eventually. It just might take a while to get there because our lines constantly move back.

I suspect in five years this type of scene will be easy to swallow as we become more desensitized.

Re: Unsolicited advice for Marissa Mayer

people are ready for gmail alternative... its still really sad that yahoo doesn't have one.

Re: What the Internet Wants From Marissa Mayer, in Five Words

I'd settle for an Email alternative to Gmail that wasn't ugly as purple is long.

Re: Drinking from a Fire-hose: Why So Many Sermons?

I'm curious what percentage of the overwhelmingly positive comments in agreement were made by pastors...

not saying i disagree... i'm just curious if they're happy because it reinforces what they're doing or if it's due to another reason.

Re: Never Make Counter-Offers

"Don’t be a tight-fisted, short-sighted moron." so applicable to soooo much more than just this topic

Re: Debunking Christianity: Osama Bin Laden Was Probably a Good Man

i have to say i'm really surprised 40 of you chose to even enter in to this discussion.

Re: Gawker's Traffic Numbers Are Much Worse Than Anyone Anticipated - Nicholas Jackson - Technology - The Atlantic

it made it unreadable. i have stopped reading lifehacker since the redesign... i've found i don't miss it.. a bummer for gawker.

Re: Hello, I must be going

AOL! Right now you can send and receieve email via POP access. I have one gmail account set up that I use as my main account and it sends and recieves on behalf of 6 other accounts.

The problem is a few months ago (I'm not sure exactly when it started) the header of my email from this account (roger mugs) says something like sent from Roger Mugs via Other Name. The problem is that Roger is my name everywhere online, and I'd rather it not be associated with my real name...

gmail made that tough.

How does the delegation header look? Does it say "Actually sent from this person who is my secretary and therefore this is not a personal email in response?"

because that would defeat the purpose for a lot of us.

Re: In Defense Of Chrome OS

digitizing the books was the best idea ever. even if the publishers disagree...

java? well... like i said, they fail, but they try. at least they try.
give me a list of microsoft offenses... i'd argue its a bit longer.

Re: In Defense Of Chrome OS

grooveshark?

Re: In Defense Of Chrome OS

one big difference between the two.
