The new one is an IPS panel rather than VA which will have driven the price up, but also you'll find the 4350UC is retailing at about half the price quoted above.

Phew, I'd also been going mad trying to get mkvdts2ac3 working, all because of Aften. I eventually managed to get the Fink version of CMake to work (MacPorts wouldn't install). This is one binary I'm definitely going to hold on to :-P
