I think there's a liability to Google as well as to the Energy companies if they exceed that, so my suspicion is that it won't happen, but I will be counting.

It was very clear what I was signing up for when I signed up. Up to 10 days/year this could happen. Just didn't expect the first day to happen BEFORE the first day of Summer. We're screwed.

This isn't a TX thing. I had the same thing happen when I lived in Colorado. Utility companies don't raise your temp unless you sign up for it. I signed up for it here in TX last year when we moved here. Mine was raised from 72 to 77 on Thursday for three hours. Not super comfortable, but not unbearable. Having said all of this, I still feel like the grid will collapse any day now. Why did I move here?

I never reply to these recaps, but I have to respond to the blatant disdain for Roxxxy. No matter what decisions each of the queens made to spare her, she's been on the up and up. She's not a top-tier queen on the level of Alaska, but man, let it go. You declared in the first critique that you bought Phi Phi's redemption story over Roxxxy's, even though it became apparent almost immediately that Phi Phi was still as manipulative as ever, just more subtle (initially). Roxxy has put in the effort, and I'm sure part of the strategy of queens have been to leave her because that's one less strong competitor. She even won a challenge and is taking money home. Everyone forgets that this "best effort" criteria for saving queens wasn't put in by the show...the queens mostly decided on that. You absolutely should have favorites, but seriously, Roxxy did nothing this season to deserve the hatred.

I guess I'm at a loss why Phi Phi's redemption is genuine while Roxxy's is manufactured. There wasn't anything there to prove that. In fact, her final decision showed her to be more fair-minded than diabolical. Either way, I have a feeling that Alaska will come out on top because the narrative seems to be going that way and it's only episode one.

A couple of people have said that the airline knew about his condition, but if they had, they most likely would have allowed him to preboard. He was sitting in row 20, so it doesn't appear that that occurred. It's tough to know all the facts in a situation like this, but the story just sounds off. Most flight attendants are glad to have passengers sleep through an entire flight. The only part of this that makes sense is waking him up for final descent to get his trash and put up the tray table.

As an FYI, this wasn't in the last 24 hours...the quote you provided says this occurred on April 6th. And if Southwest is so against Muslims, why would they hire and keep on an Arabic-speaking employee? Posts have definitely been going downhill here recently.

Good take on where Idol is in the pop culture landscape as it ends. One correction...Candice Glover won season 12, but point still taken. To force five WGWGs to cover Bowie was kind of ridiculous. I felt like David Cook would have given it a more impassioned treatment, but he was stuck working within the limitations of everyone else.

Great synopsis of her career. Even as a kid where I wasn't aware of the family connection, I always connected with her voice and the pop-leaning R&B she recorded. When she passed, for some reason the track I kept going back to was "Jump Start," but the only time I saw her live was during the Unforgettable era. Such a great singer.

RTD should have anticipated the number of one time riders buying tickets at light rail stations, but instead every station had massive lines and a lot of people gave up. Not really sure they should be patting themselves on the back.
