We do mention that Feedly, Feedbin, etc. have their own clients in the introduction, but we wanted to focus on clients that allow a bit more freedom to choose between aggregation services in this article, or that take a different approach from the default app.

The Feedly client is certainly very good, if not one of the best out there. Good tips! I'll check out RSSOwl.

The great thing about the standard is that you can actually push this into the content body of your WordPress posts right now. There may also be plugins available that add support for Microdata to the platform, as there have been for Joomla for some time. It is indeed good to see Joomla make this part of core. This is a very good question. We are always looking for ways to improve our products, and we are certainly considering this. We would have to make sure that our products don't conflict with the Microdata Joomla is outputting all by itself, and find a way to work it into other platforms like WordPress, as well.

Actually we did extensive testing and thew new site is quite a bit faster than the old site. We also have recently implemented 2 new front-end web servers with SSD drives. Also the new site has been simplified so that it's much easier to find things than it was on the old site. Changelogs and version history are still available in the modal 'download' popup for the extensions. These are directly accessible from the extensions details pages as well as directly from the forum pages for these extensions.

Of course things are a bit different when you are used to the old site, but we put a lot of effort into usability and making the new site easier to navigate and less clicks to get to support, downloads, etc. Also we have put a lot of effort into improving our documentation for themes, templates and extensions. Have you checked those out?
